I am using Fedora 29 and glibc-rpcgen is not available.
I have these packages installed for rpc:
rpcgen-1.4-1.fc29.x86_64 (rpcsvc-proto)
libtirpc-1.1.4-2.rc2.fc29.x86_64
libtirpc-devel-1.1.4-2.rc2.fc29.x86_64
I have tried using libvirt 5.2.0 form tarball but the same error is there.

Can't find uuid!
Hello Asterisk,
New install.
Current Fedora server.
Current Asterisk V16
Installed everything necessary to run configure including uuid and uuid-devel.
I know everything but uuid works as I commented out the uuid test and configure finished.
Make fails with uuid/uuid.h not found.
uuid/uuid.h is not there, but uuid.h is there.
Tried changing <uuid/uuid,h> to <uuid.h> in uuid.c

Error connecting to hypervisor
Hi,
I have compiled and installed libvirt from git checkout
and started libvirtd service. The version is 5.3.0 and
I have done system-wide installation.
When I do a `virsh list`, I get the following error:
error: failed to connect to the hypervisor
error: Unable to encode message header
Similarly, the libvirtd instance shows the following error:

Geany 1.34
FWIW, on Fedora 29, I'm running Geany 1.34.1 and didn't have to enable
anything other than the default repositories. So, it'd appear to at least
be in the stream.

640x480 does not fill screen
...on the top and bottom.
This results in an unreadable display playing games like Lbrickbuster2.
I'd like the display to fill the screen.
To confirm that this is a Nouveau issue, I switched back to NVidia
where 640x480 looks fine.
I'm using Fedora 29 (xorg-x11-drv-nouveau.x86_64 1:1.0.15-6.fc29),
NVidia-390 drivers, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, and a DELL S2817Q.

4.20.0-rc3 nouveau/Quadro P2000 Mobile: runpm causing ACPI errors, lockups
...return ffffffff maybe?
X isn't happy even with runpm=0 but that might be a different
issue - I thought runpm=0 might be an easier place to start debugging
things given there are logs of the failure.
Using 4.20.0-rc3 right now.
Userspace bits are from fedora 29:
xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-1.0.15-6.fc29.x86_64
firmware is pretty recent:
linux-firmware-20181008-88.gitc6b6265d.fc29.noarch
More hints for debugging would be appreciated.
If anyone wants me to play with a different kernel tree,
let me know.

Thanks so much. When I first saw this I was like, yea but it doesn't work here so what, but then I sent your message it to that computer and stared at it for a while and because of it I discovered that libuuid was not installed...
