Samba permissions problem
Hi all,
I have a permissions problem with a samba share which I really
can't fathom out. I'm trying to create a fully group writable share.
Easy or so I thought.
As you can see from my config I am trying all the options to set files
group writable, however when I create a file from the client I'm always
getting the
mode 0644. Does anyone have a clue why? Thanks!

Xen - multiCPUs per socket setting?
...till trying to figure out how to get my Xen installation on a 34-CPU
machine (8 quad cores) to recognize more than one CPU per socket. It seems
to default to one CPU per socket on this machine. Win2003ServerEnterprise
will support 8 quad cores (32 CPUs) in a native install, but I can''t
fathom why it won''t when installed under Xen (OpenSuSE11.0).
Thanks for any help!

[LLVMdev] MODULE_CODE_GLOBALVAR error
Hi,
I have istalled LLVM 3.1 Release+Asserts build. I was just trying out the
hello world sequence of steps in the installation instructions. However
when I run lli or llvm-dis I get an error "invalid MODULE_CODE_GLOBALVAR
record".
I have searched the web and I am not able to fathom what the problem and
its fix is. I have GCC 4.6.3 running on a Ubuntu 12.04 LTS x86-64.
Please let me know what the fix is.
I also tried installing the Debug+Asserts build from the svn. It generates
an error while installing.
Thanks in advance,
Arvind

shown them case studies from much larger organisations than us around the

found one small business with about 10 phones in Joplin, MO and talked to
them, but he's insistent we find...

[LLVMdev] Strange code generation issue
...ree/master/ravi-tests/comp_issue
The original.ll is the code I am generating.
The aftercompiling.ll is the output from LLVM with opt level 0.
The issue is that LLVM is deciding to remove the blocks with labels
updatei and updatei.64 (lines 433 and 454 in original.ll) for some
reason that I cannot fathom. This is then causing the program to
misbehave.
I will check if the same issue occurs in LLVM 3.6.
I would appreciate any help on understanding what might be causing this issue.
Many thanks
Regards
Dibyendu

[LLVMdev] Is LLVM expressive enough to represent asynchronous exceptions?
...gcc thing and not an llvm thing).
Oh, I see. That's a slightly different matter, but still, unwinding
makes little sense when the signal (and thus its exception) can occur
at any time meaning anything.
This does look like a very specific feature for a very specific use
case (which I can't fathom). ;) But I don't think that will be
considered on a possible refactoring of the exception handling in
LLVM.

Wow, that's honey even w/o update support? I can't fathom
rewriting a large DB multiple times a day.
Anyways, thanks again for Xapian!

Pegasus - Crashes on Sending
I'm running Pegasus 4.31 via the latest version of Wine on Ubuntu's Breezy Badger version.
I've looked at the Wine applications page for bugs etc and Pegasus crashing on sending
mail is documented.
It shows as bug 1611 and shows as resolved but I cannot fathom out what the resolution is.
My Pegasus appears to run fine except when I press the send button whereupon pegasus
disappears from my screen and I have to reload, the email is safe in the queued mail
section and I can then elect to send queued mail which it does fine.
Has anyone found a way round...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Identifying the Originating Cisco SIP Gateway
...e
manager interface? If there was a ${SIPDOMAIN} for the originator rather
than the destination, that would be cool, or
B) make the inbound gateway use the sip.conf file section belonging to it
via the host= line in the sip.conf file without user authentication, or
C) some other way I have yet to fathom
I'm trying to differentiate between legitimate gateways that initiate calls
vs other gateways that should get a very limited inbound capability.

I can't fathom why apple has chosen not to support or can't detect

done it by now they must have some reason for it and aren't going to fix
it any time soon.
Are there any creative solutions to fixing the i-clients and preven...
