Web Site Search
I used to use the Web Site Search quite a bit, but it has been down for a couple of weeks. The error that I get is: [general search from the nav bar at top] Not Found The requested URL /search/smb-search.shtml was not found on this server. [search of mail archives] Not Found The requested URL /search/smb-mail.shtml was not found on this server. I've tried a couple of the mirrors but

Matrix: Help with syntax and comparison with SparseM
...n initialize(value, ...) : Invalid names for slots of class cscMatrix: nrow > E<-new("cscMatrix", i=integer(m),x=rep(1,m),p=0:(m-1)) Error in validObject(.Object) : Invalid "cscMatrix" object: last element of slot p must match length of slots i and x Granted I am not very fascile with the S4 classes, so I may be doing something stupid. Also to do the next step there is no diff method for matrices in Matrix, that would be nice :) I guess the last step would be easy z <- solve((E + (lambda * crossprod(D))),y) But I can't get the Identity matrix??? Thanks for the hel...

elegant way of re-encoding?
hi, I have a single stream going to my icecast server, encoded in hi-quality ogg. goal is to serve hi- and low quality ogg and mp3 streams, re-encoded from the single hi-quality ogg stream. encoding all from e.g. oddcast simultaniously is not an option. it would be easier if source-streams would be static and always named the same .. unfortunately they are not. if so, I could define simple

Hi: Your ability to use this setup is going to depend on whether or not your card can capture its own output, or at least its own PCM output. Since you're using the OSS drivers, try running the following command: aumix -q This wil list the settings for each channel. a P flag denotes a device set to playback only, an R flag denotes a device that you can record from. Some cards will allow

mp3 vs ogg question (reformatted)
Cool, I'm slowing getting people to change over http://dir.xiph.org/index.php?sgenre=Scanner But alot of people still don't like the fact they can't list on yp.shoutcast.com so they don't switch. If you want to see the realtime update try http://scanmassachusetts.no-ip.com:8000/capecod.ogg Some guy made a windows app. that interacts with a police scanner with a serial out. And

Document classes with tm
does anyone have any tips for using the tm package for supporting autoclassifying textual documents? while tm works very well for parsing text documents and creating term-document matrices, it doesnt seem to support tracking document classes by default. without a way to know the classes of your training documents, building a classifier is kind of a non starter. i know i could just do this

No sound (ices-2.0.0, RH9)
Hello, I've successfully installed Icecast 2.0.0 and Ices 2.0.0 on a Compaq EvoN600C running Redhat 9. Everything runs quite well (no error loggued by Icecast or Ices), the Ices stream is seen as a source by Icecast and friends are able to listen to my radio (I see them as listeners in Icecast admin)... the problem is that they ear only silence ! Looks like the streaming is OK but Ices could

Re [ogg]
Hi: If you're just wanting to serve static files then the fileserve function of icecast will probably serve you better. But yes, you would have to make a thousand files. Probably better to write some kind of script to push a .m3u or .pls file generated from the filename passed as a parameter. At least then you wouldn't have lots of tiny m3u files all over the place.
