Zoning Out
I''m getting my zones confused. Help.
I need to have a bunch of systems using OpenVPN to gain an IP in the
virtual subnet 10.100.1.0/24, on interface tun0.
I will then route whole subnets to those IPs, like 10.100.2.0/24 via
10.100.1.12, etc.
I want to have a policy for:
- all hosts behind tun0
- all hosts in 10.100.1.0/24

Old, slow firewall users please speak up!
Ok, I''ve flogged this issue probably longer than some of you can stand

Rsync rules for Shorewall

I''m having an issue with rsync between my firewall and an internal
box. It seems to be a shorewall issue (or correctly speaking, an

rsync works fine.
And I just can''t find it documented anywhere what I need to do.
I have rules like this :
root@userver:/etc/shorewall# grep -i Rsync rules

Hello everyone,
I''m using Shorewall 1.2.12-1 on Debian 3.0, with the 2.4.17 kernel. I
am seeing some interesting log entries, and after reading the
documentation at Google and netfilter.org I have a couple questions.
To begin, here are the entries I am

Can''t connect to Modem
Shorewall version 2.2.1
2 Interface setup.
eth1: 10.10.1.3
eth0: 192.168.1.2
modem is 192.168.1.1
I need to be able to connect to my adsl modem, but when shorewall is up I
get connection rejected.
I have added "192.168.1.1 RETURN" above the line "192.168.0.0/16 logdrop #
RFC 1918" in "/etc/shorewall/rfc1918" but still getting connection
rejected
