TE405P V2 - Fantastic!
I anyone has any hesitations in upgrading their 405P (or 410P) to V2 of the firmware, read below; I installed one today (turnaround time around 2 weeks to Australia, inc. economy freight in both directions... impressive!) and have noticed immediate, significant improvements. Audio levels are better (have set tx and rx gains back to 0.0) and missed frames have gone (popping, clicking,

rsync is fantastic except for one usual feature we want from it .. please help ?
Hi, Rsync is a fantastic program, and it does everything we need in terms of file transfer and syncing source and destination file directories. We do have a situation now where we need rsync to transfer the files once only from the source directory. Please let me briefly explain using a simple generic exmple: 1. At t0, we transfer f0 location A to location B 2. At t1, 10 new

[LLVMdev] [Code ownership] MCJIT
All, I'd like to suggest Andy Kaylor take official ownership of the MCJIT. He's done a fantastic job already of improving it and wrangling lots of patch submissions for it. This seems the logical next step to me. -Jim

SCEV/IndVars Code Owner Nomination
I would like to nominate Sanjoy Das as code owner of Scalar Evolution and Induction Variable Simplification. Scalar Evolution has never had an official code owner, but does regularly need in depth review. Over the past year and a half, Sanjoy has made fantastic contributions to SCEV and has been responsive reviewing patches. He is clearly the authority at this point. Induction variable

Passing extra parameters to functions called from Observers
Hi again, When you have an ''obeserver'' setup as follows: $(''myForm'').observe(''submit'', validateForm); If a user submits the form the ''validateForm'' function is called and is automagically passed the ''event'' to work with. This is fantastic! But is there a way to pass another argument to the function?

XCP HA disabled? Xen Maybe?
I have two systems loaded with XCP 0.1.1 and it works well. XenMotion, Live Migrations and automated installs are fantastic. I am wondering whty the field for ha-enabled is read-only... Is there any way I can change this so I can enable HA on XCP? So when a host fails the other hosts takes all the guests. What would the best way to accomplish what I need? Would XCP be the answer or straight

Is HABTM Dying?
For a while, I''ve been getting that HMT is replacing HABTM. It appears that HMT can do all of what HABTM can do and more. The question is: Should I stop using HABTM? Let''s take a simple case: A case has many categories For a given category, there are certain valid statuses Category has_and_belongs_to_many :statuses Status has_and_belongs_to_many :categories Question: Is

Firefox plugin to auto convert audio files into Ogg
per > http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=63653 The above thread on the Fedora Forums about a script that can automatically convert one audio format to another got me thinking > wouldn't it be fantastic to be able to right click on an MP3 (or other audio file) while in Firefox, and automatically have the file converted into Ogg at the same time as the file is being saved

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Upstreaming LLVM/SPIR-V converter
+1 to lib/Target/SPIRV/(Reader|Writer) I really like this idea. I’ve talked with some people on both the LLVM and Khronos sides and I really think adding SPIR-V support to LLVM as an optional program serialization format would be fantastic. I think it would make it even easier for LLVM-based tools to be integrated into GPU authoring and execution pipelines. I’m really excited to see this moving

I've been using "pythondev.slack.com" and honestly, its a fantastic tool for community support with really nice features for computer centric discussion. https://enterpriselinux.slack.com/shared_invite/MTY4MTM5NjQ2NTc5LTE0OTE5OTkyNTctMjkyNGU1NWQzOA My hope is that those running

loading data with migrations
Hello, I''m just taking a look at migrations, seems like a fantastic way to maintain the database. I am wonder if there is a way to maintain what I''ll call "reference data" along with the migrations. A lot of times in apps your have tables that have pretty static data, often used to generate select lists. Is there a way to insert the reference data into these tables

Pocket Outlook
Hi all, Another user posted the same thing a few months back... after contacting them, they said they never got it working. I'm unable to get Pocket Outlook, or FlexMail 2006 working on Dovecot 0.99.13. According to the logs it connects just fine. With Pocket Outlook I'll see the headers for a few seconds, and then it clears and shows nothing. With FlexMail, which is supposed to have

OpenSSH with "resumable" functionality
I just stumbled across this thread on openssh-dev... Is there anywhere to track progress on this issue? It'd be a fantastic feature that would fix all sorts of problems I deal with regularly. You may also be interested in an article "Design and Implementation of a Mobile SSH Protocol", if you haven't seen it, since that team implemented (afaict) the same feature, whether or not

centos vault
We are in need of a remote mirror that provides rsync capabilities for vaulted centos releases. Specifically centos 4.3 but we'll need 4.4 when it is vaulted too. Any helpful links to information on this or a reputable mirror would be fantastic. Thanks.

rstudio client on the i-pad
Hi, The combination of ipad+rstudio (server) would be a fantastic combination-if it worked. It _is_ possible to run rstudio in the safari browser of the ipad, but the keyboard doesn't work correctly (blanks are inserted after each character), making it almost impossible to use. Does anyone know a solution? Or know when a solution is ready? ------------------- dr F.H.G. (Frans) Marcelissen

[LLVMdev] switch case ranges
Hello, I have an problem where a switch with case ranges (like gcc's "case 123 ... 456:" would be fantastic for performance. Does LLVM asm plan to support a construct like this? Thanks. -- Cory Nelson
