[LLVMdev] Reflexions about a new HDL language
If you're designing a new high-level HDL, then it would be a good idea to familiarise yourself with the state of the art in this area (e.g. Bluespec System Verilog, Symbolics Processor Designer, and similar tools). Starting from comparisons to VHDL and Verilog is like designing a new high-level programming language today that is designed to be a better high-level programming language that is

[LLVMdev] Reflexions about a new HDL language
Hi, For the synthesis backend which translate to VHDL or Verilog, I don't know if I will use LLVM. It will depend on how easy it is to play with concurrent statements with LLVM. For the simulation I will use LLVM because I can anyways artificially make the compiled code sequencial. It would allow me to benefit from all the nice things from LLVM like existing optimisations. I have never

Upper limit to numeric user IDs?
I am still in the familiarisation and testing phase of my puppet implementation, and have a question for the enlightened: Is there an upper limit to the numeric user ID that puppet recognises? Here is what I have so far: System is RHEL4, puppet 0.23.1 All users are defined in LDAP rather than in /etc/password, and their numeric user IDs are sourced from LDAP as well. These numeric IDs

XE VM install
Hi - I''m trying to use the instructions here http://xen.pablolibo.com/doku.php to create a new VM but it''s not clear where the .cfg file should go and what to do next. I was thinking xe needs to install the vm from the /mnt/so_xen mount but i''m not sure. Are the steps on the site reasonable? Is there a way to install a vm from USB instead?  I don''t have an

kjournald using up majority cpu%.
We run several RH7.2/7.3 servers & recently 2 of them, although still working fine, have started to show kjournald as generally using over 50% cpu% on 'top' - virtually continuously. Free cpu% generally less than 25% now! Both machines are also using software RAID5 EIDE ....... otherwise are standard server installs. Any info on what kjournald is & why it should have recently

Need someone to help me adjust my gsoc proposal
Dear all, My name is Hanxiao Sun and I am a master student in the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. I am so glad to be selected by Xapian as the GSoC student. This is my first time to work with open source community. I hope I can do a good job with you in this summer ! In my proposal, I followed the scope of the LTR project on the ideas page. But, after the interview, it seems to need

Idea: Backend for Lucene format indexes
Hi, I'm interested to implement the idea of using search indexes build by Lucene. I have some idea of how to do that. I'm currently studying the index format of both. I have written an application of search using Lucene and now I'll do the same using Xapian. then I'll check the details of those index format and then find how to convert Lucene index to Xapian one. Is there somebody

Samba-2.0.0 Binary Packages
The Samba-Team is pleased to make known that the following binary packages of samba-2.0.0 are now available from our ftp mirror sites. While this is a good effort so far, there is a need for additional binary packages. This is a call for contributions of outstanding packages. Packages available now: ======================= 1) Sun Solaris x86 Version 2.6 (binary kit, not Sun Pkg format) 2)

obtaining p-values for lm.ridge() coefficients (package 'MASS')
Dear all I'm familiarising myself with Ridge Regressions in R and the following is bugging me: How does one get p-values for the coefficients obtained from MASS::lm.ridge() output (for a given lambda)? Consider the example below (adapted from PRA [1]): > require(MASS) > data(longley) > gr <- lm.ridge(Employed ~ .,longley, lambda = seq(0,0.1,0.001)) > plot(gr) > select(gr)

zapata.conf and zaptel.conf
Can anyone explain to me the difference in zaptel.conf and zapata.conf? I'm trying to get a real clear understanding of them but its getting a little murky in places. I will be setting up a PBX running asterisk with 2 T100P cards. I will be bringing a 23 channel PRI into one card and connecting the other card to a Nortell 24 channel FXS channel bank. As I understand it zapata.conf is
