Hot Fallover
Hello List:
Recently our shorewall FW server went dead (PS failure) & brought the entire
system down. Luckily we are testing the FW and other servers, so we did not
loose anything. Now we have decided to setup two Shorewall FW servers with a
primary & another fallover FW server.
I have done some research cruised the Internet and found that a product

[Possible bug] Invalid Switching on fallover?
I may have found a bug... I am not sure. I am new to Icecast, so this might be how things are meant to be,
I have a Debian install with Icecast2 install from APT - Icecast 2.3.2
I have three mount points (all 128kbp mp3)
/EDH.mp3 (public = 0 and hidden = 1)
/live.mp3 (fallback-mount = /EDH.mp3 and fallback-override = 1)
/dj1.mp3 (fallback-mount = /EDH.mp3, fallback-override = 1, public = 0, and\

Auto rotation on day/hour or dump possible?
Hi Philipp,
Thank you, thats good news that the log on date rotation is in the new version 2.5.
And can you indicate what you are waiting for before making it the stable 2.5 release?
And in which version of openssl does this problem no longer occur?
Sorry for straying from the original question :-)
Best regards,
Michel

Shorewall under xen
Hi All
It''s about time to upgrade my shorewall routers again so thinking of possible
changes.
In our main office have managed switches and 5 xen servers.
I''m thinking of running the firewall/router under xen.
Don''t have all the details figured out but this is roughly what I''m thinking
of:
Set up separate vlan for the two isps and plug isps into the switch.

keep in mind that the ticket you linked is about dumpfile rotation. log
file rotation is the same as it always has been.
As this is a very common thing being asked if I may just include:

Auto rotation on day/hour or dump possible?
Hi Philipp,
Okay that's also a nice solution rename the log file and reload icecast. Only it may be that the file size has been reached, turning off archive then is this option is the best way! Thanks
The wrapper works well so far. And also retaining the original log files.
I check the the Linux machine for the ssl problem for 2.4.4 and 2.5 beta.
It is Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster) OpenSSL

Skilled API consultant required - preferably with Salesforce.com intergration
...ate an Asterisk solution with their Salesforce.com CRM
platform.
They are looking for a consultant/team to provide the following
functionality
* Complex IVR
Eg can interface via API into Salesforce for customer service
interaction and product initiation.
* Call centre
Eg basic queues, fallovers etc, reports,
* Salesforce.com CTI integration, screen pop, outbound calling
etc.
If anyone on this list has extensive API experience with ivr and
preferably with some salesforce.com screen pop experience then please
email me and I'll pass along their details.

mountpoint fallback support
I just was looking at the CVS nightly build of the icecast2\src\source.c and see that the mountpoint fallback is now implemented (compared to the 2.0.0 release's source.c)
I was hoping to use this feature to support a multi-home radio station that has a master mountpoint stream and offsite "guest" mountpoints. These guest mountpoints would attach on a scheduled based and,

[LLVMdev] Working on getting MingW32/native tools-only source build up
Hello, Kenneth

This means, that generation of llvm-config for you is broken. I really
suggest to use perl from msys-DTK, not ActivePerl.

Building two redundant servers without clustering
Hi,
my Fileserver lately refused to work anymore. I'm quite thankfull for
that for that it was a bit slow anyway ;-)
My idea is to set up two relativley samba-hosts instead of byuing one
"real" server with many build in redundancies. That can only work if I
can manage to keep both filesystems in sync and I see two alternatives:
1.: Use drdb to build a RAID1 across the two

samba 3.0.11, security=server and smbpasswd as fallback not working
Hi,
with samba 2.2.12 a user was able to connect to a share with his local
smbpasswd if he had no user on the password server. I updated the samba
server
to 3.0.11 and this is not working anymore. I kept the config files and the
smbpasswd file. The smb.conf man page describes old behavior, but if the
password server rejects the password the connection gets terminated

mountpoint fallback support
After I installed the latest nightly build, it looks like the fallback works without rebuffering. I do see one problem -- when the main mountpoint stream restarts, the fallback continues to play. Once I stop the fallback mountpoint stream, the main mountpoint stream restarts, but only after client rebuffering
Also, during the mountpoint switchovers, sometimes the meta-data is lost in the

PRI Down but zaptel lets calls through
Hi, i am having a problem with my point to point t1, which is being
resolved and is a seperate issue. sangoma support has been a huge help
and i am waiting on verizon to increase the signal output of the
smartjack.
But my issue is that in the meantime my fallover extensions arent
working. Well they are on the CPE side but not on the NET side. The
NET side still thinks its making calls, they

Holding and call parking idiosyncrasies...
We are going to replace a BizFone with Asterisk and one of the features
that I haven't been able to emulate is the PBX hold. We can put a call
into hold with the * key and every 30 sec the phone gets a beep to
remind us it is there and the caller on hold can hit # for other
options.
The closest I've come with Asterisk is call parking, and that doesn't
quite do it. Using the

shorewall restart failure recovery option?
Hi,
I was thinking about changing the #shorewall restart command a little bit.
Would it be a good idea to make this command restore the previous running
configuration in case of a start-failure? (kind of like the "try-command")
1. Save the currently running iptables configuration to a /tmp file.
(with iptables-save for example)
2. Run the new configuration. (the one in /etc/shorewall)

Need some help with a new SNAT/DNAT/NAT + DMZ + Xen Host/Guest config.
Hi.
I''m migrating to shorewall(6) mgmt of my various firewalls.
Simple configs have been easy with the great docs.
I''ve got a slightly more convoluted config, and have gotten ''lost'' in
config''ing a SNAT/DNAT/NAT + DMZ + Xen Host/Guest set up with Static
IP/29. Having some challenges wrapping my head around the ''best''
