No Full Virtualisation with Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 Mobile CPU?
...od_no=4) with
a Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile CPU (T5500).
When booting the mainboard BIOS says it found a EM64T CPU, which is
AFAIK the code for a Intel CPU with Virtualisation Technologie.
But whether Linux nor XEN detects this CPU as a VT CPU.
Who''s right, the mainboard or Linux?

BackupPC newbie: a couple more questions
1. I'm running - or trying to run - BackupPC under Centos-5.2,
and have been looking at various BackupPC HOWTOs and tutorials.
I see that the "Falko" tutorial at <http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_backuppc>
recommends (on page 3) that one should enter one's username,
"falko" in this case, as the user in /etc/BackupPC/hosts .
Other tutorials suggest one should use the user "backuppc",
who was indeed created by...

Cookbook/HowTo for using XEN to create a complete DMZ?
Hi Folks,
XEN seems to me to be the ideal partner to create a complete DMZ with
firewall, router, "Bastios Host(s)" etc within a single PC.
So far, I haven''t found any cookbook or how to (at least for the beginning).
Anyone knows of such thing?

Falko

Message mixing after switchover from mbox to maildir
...erbird displayed an email from
Person Y that I had just replied to. Note that the email from Y was not
adjacent to the one from X (at least, in the temporal ordering)."
I have not been able to reproduce the bug myself. Can anyone think of
where we should start debugging?
Best regards,

Hi Folks,
anyone updated XEN 3.0.2 on SuSE 10.1 to 3.0.3 or 3.0.4?
If yes, how?
And what are the possible pitfalls?
Thx in advance.
Regards
Falko

Good idea, but no reply: what to do.
...workneighbourhoud".
- when entering a share, it is automatically mounted (with autofs and cifs
and or smbfs)
It works very good, and now I've published it on HowtoForge:
http://www.howtoforge.com/automatic_discovery_mounting_smb_networkshares
I've asked the maintainer of howtoforge Falko Timme he would want to ask the
people of LinuxToday to make a link/shortcut to this howto, but sofar
the did not publish it.
The reason for it is not known to me. I can only gues. Too technical?
I'm a bit desparate about it. I know it's a very good construction, which
has potential. It let...
