one extention, multiple phones
Is it possible to get a few 7960's and asterisk to allow all
of the 7960 phones to use one extentsion and can only be used
by one person at a time, have it indicate on the other 7960's
when one of the others has the line engaged. Basicly so like
I can setup a rule when an incoming call comes from IAX to
divert to this extension, it will ring the extension (thus all

It looks like we have things running and just have a few
questions:
1- What MIME type and extentsion do we need to
open a player through Apache, currently what happens
is that it attempts to download the entire folder
containing the mp3's instead of opening up the
player (this happens at http://www.xxx.com:8000).
2- How can you create a playlist? Currently it
just plays the mp3's and

running x server on domU without graphics hardware
Hi, is there any solution to running X on domU, when not using hvm? I''ve tried
using vncserver/tightvnc, but it doesn''t support many X extentsions (notably
randr) and gnome does weird things, because parts of it keep crashing without
randr extenstion.
thanks

Dialout from SIP to PSTN
Hi,
i install the Asterisk PBX on a linux machine with i4l to connect to PSTN
(EuroISDN). And i configure a very simple dial plan in extension.conf.
After this, i connect with a SIP program to asterisk and would call my
cellular phone, but got this error:
-- Executing Ringing("SIP/ACzerniak-0904", "") in new stack
-- Executing Dial("SIP/ACzerniak-0904",

Is Asterisk ready for "real" use?
Okay,
I am facing a move in two months to newly renovated space. I
have to decide *this week* between:
A) Pull LAN and phone cables, prepare to move and expand our
"traditional" PBX (Panasonic KX-TD1232 and VPS200).
or
B) Pull only LAN cables, go VoIP, use Asterisk as PBX.
It is *not* an option to purchase a VoIP system package from
Cisco, 3com, etc. Installers are getting an
