pxelinux feature request

Therefore I think that a LOADCONFIG command would be useful for pxelinux. Here is an expample: pxelinux.cfg/default LABEL load_new_config LOADCONFIG 192.168.0.1::my_new_config when load_new_config is selected pxelinux downloads the file "my_new_config" from the TFTP server with the IP 192.168.0.1 and uses it as its configuration file. Comments? Good or bad idea (and why)? Al...

Help: issues about hostname & nameserver
Dear developers: I'm using Samba-3.5.8 on Linux (Gentoo, amd64) as a file server, and using some Windows based OSes as clinet. And something strange happened to me. Things went as follows: 1. If there was no dot (".") in the hostname of server, then no matter whether the DNS server (in /etc/resolv.conf) was set correctly or not, everything went fine. Client can access shares

This means that changing the ToS field of the packet with iptable''s "-j TOS --set-tos" flags, will not change neither its linux priority nor the band it will be assigned to. - Also notice that this mapping is not one-to-one, for expample, by only adjusting the priomap, it is impossible to assign a packet with ToS value 0x00 (Normal Service), to a different band than a packet with ToS 0x02 (Maximize reliability), as both values are mapped to linux priority 0 (Best Effort). - At the moment of writing this, the ToS octe...

[LLVMdev] LLVM lnt - Test Backend Pass
...Infrastructure Guide recommends to use LNT tool. (Until now I have tested my pass only manualy, each time using OPT tool to load the pass.) If LNT is not the right tool to test backend pass, could you recommend me any other way to test it ? I would really appreciate some advice or ( better :) ) expample of usage. Can this work?
I would like to develop a system where by I can boot any of the machines on my system - and select from a menu what I would like that particular client to do. For example, maybe load a bootdisk image from a network share, and boot that. Or boot the first partition on the local disk.

how to create help files
Dear R users, this is a question for R version 1.2.0 under Windows NT 4.0, regarding the documentation of ones own functions. I have ceated a private library for my functions, which works all very well, apart from that I am not able to create appropriate help files. For illustration, here is a simple example of where I'm stuck: > # first, create a simple function f1: > f1 <-

fit.contrast and interaction terms
Dear R-users, I want to fit a linear model with Y as response variable and X a categorical variable (with 4 categories), with the aim of comparing the basal category of X (category=1) with category 4. Unfortunately, there is another categorical variable with 2 categories which interact with x and I have to include it, so my model is s "reg3: Y=x*x3". Using fit.contrast to make the

iSCSI and LVM
Hi Everyone, I am going to get a storage server which will be connected to my Xen hosts via iSCSI/Ethernet. I wish to use LVM for the DomU disks. The storage server will have a RAID10 array, and 2 Xen hosts will connect to this (Each will have a 50% share of the RAID10 array, space wise). What is the best way to go about this? Should I: a) Split the RAID10 array into 2 partition on the
