[ANNOUNCE] netfilter project calls for volunteers
...should be familiar with XML, XHTML and XSL if you want to volunteer in that area. docbook-website is quite easy to understand. =20 4) Maintainance of the lists.netfilter.org mailman mailinglists We're running a number of mailman-2.0 lists on a quite advanced mailserver with virus scanning (exiscan-acl), spam filtering (spamassassin). We're pushing about 50,000 to 100,000 mails per day to our subscribers. Bug#305932: rsync on a directory transfers the files of this directory
Hi, I got the following report from a Debian user, about --files-from transferring the contents of a dir (i.e. including the files in it) specified in the input, even thugh the files aren't listed in the input. This happens only when the dir name ends with a slash. I asked him to cook up a script to reproduce this (as it wasn't quite clear to me at first what happened exactly). Any

DNS question
Dear list, we use debian stretch with Louis's 4.10.5 packages and bind9_dlz backend. There are two AD DCs with redundant ISC DHCP servers on them. The DHCP servers are updating the DNS along the lines of https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Configure_DHCP_to_update_DNS_records_with_BIND9 but with nsupdate commands replaced by suitable calls to "samba-tool" (I had problems getting the

Pitch shift with RC2
I've just installed RC2 and I'm very excited about the quality. It's so much better than MP3. This is the first version I've used since I just found out about Ogg Vorbis. I did notice that very high frequencies seem to be missing but since not many people can hear much above 18 KHz it's not much of an issue. I suppose this resolves the hiss problem so prevalent in MP3.
