Problems with loading TE110 module
Hello!
I discovered, that I'm unable to load ther kernel module under 2.4.28.
Before that I had 2.4.26 and tryed to upgrade the kernel to 2.4.28.
After restart (reboot - soft restart) I can't load the module. When I
go back to 2.4.26 and try to load the module, I'm getting the same
problem.
Only turning off/on helps. What can I do? It's very annoying because
the box is in hosting

Hanging ssh session...
Hi All,
I am not sure if this is the same thing as the hang on exit bug, so sorry if
this is a duplication of previous stuff.
Essetntially I am experiencing ssh hangs with about .5% - 1% of my
connections. I am running 2.9p2, on Solaris 7. I actually have empirical
data on the hangings, as I wrote a script to create these connections
in an endless loop, setting an alarm so I could recover

Transcoding
Hello,
Does asterisk do transcoding when the call goes
through the system, codecs are the same but signaling protocol is changed.
example:
SIP with GSM ---> IAX with GSM
What quality destruction happen when I use transcoding? I know
this is not a concrete/precise question, but I would like to know how is
it in general.
What CPU performance is needed for transcoding 30 channels e.g.

PRI numbering plan
Hello!
I have an E100P connected to our partner's PBX. They want the
following:
Called number must have numbering plan/type set as: unknown/unknown
and calling number in: ISDN/national.
I searched for the config file, but I found only pridialplan option on
zaptel.conf. When I set it to unknown, the called number has
unknown/unknown, however the calling number has as well. When I set

IAX2 and TEXT
Hello!
I'm looking for TEXT sending over IAX2, more precisely sending
text messages between IAX2 softphone and asterisk. Currently I'm
trying iaxComm and I was able to send a text message from asterisk to
iaxComm (with AGI SEND TEXT).
After some searching I got some questions:
1. is it possible to send text messages during a call (established or
during ringing)?
2. is it possible to send

volume problems on zaptel
Hello!
I have a special problem with a zaptel PRI card (E100P) with Asterisk
STABLE CVS (zaptel and libpri also from stable branch). I use iaxComm
softphone for outgoing calls (ulaw currently). Calls are going out
through PRI. After about 5-6 calls, when the 7th call arrives, the
voice volume on the called party's side is decreased, so they can't
hear much (the caller's volume kept

Uncommon callback
Hello!
I got an interesting task to make with asterisk:
pstn--- * ---sip--- * pstn
This sounds common till now. What I have to make is:
1.the call is routed through PSTN to asterisk1 (#1) which has ISDN PRI
interface(s) - leg1
2.#1 doesn't pick up the call, neither rejects, it just place into state
CALL PROGRESS (?) [maybe gives back alerting tone? probably not]
3.#1 notifies that there is

FastAGI problems
Hello!
I use FastAGI very frequently [meaning 30 channels IVR is made in it]
and sometimes I find, that there is a message like:
Jul 29 09:38:55 VERBOSE[896] logger.c: == Auto fallthrough, channel
'Local/1@route-out-eeae,2' status is 'CHANUNAVAIL'
Jul 29 09:38:55 VERBOSE[893] logger.c: > Channel
Local/1@route-out-eeae,1 was never answered.

rxfax problem
Hello,
I tryed out spandsp with libtiff-3.5.7 and with Asterisk from CVS.
I tryed to receive a fax on a CAPI channel. Finally I got a file with
8 byte length (/tmp/testfax.tif).
How can I do next?
Thanks in advance,
Thomas
ps: what are hardware requirements for sending/receiving faxes?
