This is a newly installed server running CentOS 4 with all current updates. It's been cruising nicely since installation a week ago until this morning. Then everyting started timing out and the attached messages appeared in the log (this is a short and sanitized extract). Load went sky high. If this is the case, then what happened to the concept of normalization ? I thought about trying centos 7. But in the end that doesn't really help me since I'm trying to keep my current centos 6 installation working. I don't really have the time/energy to reinstall everyting under CentOS 7 right now. I was able to get a 6.6 LiveCD built myself. The liveCD has the same problem - X doesn't work. There should be /cygdrive/c/.. or c:/ (I do not know if the last one actually works with Cygwins perl) and therefore things are broken. If I modified PATH such that ActiveState Perl was before Cygwins Perl, everyting was as expected. Is there a way to overcome this with Cygwins Perl? Thanks! Hello, I'm having some problems, now with building libraries/packages. Actually, with making pdf- or latex-files. So, everyting is ok, I can generate latex-files ('.tex') using 'R CMD Rdconv -t tex', but apparently, it are not valid latex-files (no 'documentclass', no 'body' etc). How come?
