Gathering EventLog Information from a remote server or workstation
...thing the details of the Windows Boxes.
The main source of problems is how to retrieve the event log details from a
remote machine. During my research I came across some old mailling list
articules in 1999 regarding 'rpcclient' and a command that was looking to get
implented onto that for eventvwr. Does anyone know if this work is still going
on?
If rpcclient eventvwr support is no longer planned, can anyone make any
suggestions of how to get the information using Linux/BSD tools. I have found a
few tutorials on how to get the information using Perl, but these are when also
running Perl f...

after files have been copied to the print$ share into x64/{...} or
W32X86/{...} directories. I can't find anything enlightening in the
samba log files (low log level shows nothing helpful, high log level
shows to much) and eventvwr (AFAIR Event ID 215 which brings nothing
helpful). I have set os_major/minor to 6/0. I don't believe, that
rights are missing.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Winbindd fails to start

I then compiled and installed Samba-3.0.28. I joined the ADS domain

The eventvwr system log on Windows server 2003 gives this error:

win 10 login - Not enough storage is available to process this command
hi everyone
I've had a Win 10 Pro client to a non-AD samba fine for a
long time.
Suddenly I could not logon new user(which had not logged in
on that Win box before). I was lazy, I remember that
quickest thing that worked once in the past was remove &
re-add client, you know, in Windows itself, to the domain.
Now I cannot login any user at all at that Win box(even
though the box was

Roaming Profile synchronization errors on new samba server
Hi,
I am running an old CentOS 4 server with samba 3.4.9 and am trying to
move to a new server running Centos 6 and the latest stock samba 3.5.10-125.
Upon trying to switch over to the new server, I noticed that accessing
shares and copying files worked perfectly fine, however upon login off,
the roaming profile fails with error message:
Your roaming profile was not completely synchronized.

win 10 login - Not enough storage is available to process this command
Is this one computer causing issues, or more than one?
When logged in to the computer, what do you see in the Event Viewer
(eventvwr.msc) relating to the time of your login?
Are you using Samba in NT mode or AD mode?
Can you run a command as an AD user (for example, click on Start, press
Shift as you right-click on an application and choose "Run as other
user...", and enter a domain username/password)?
