Bus Error crash (PR#551)
...crash when I print the whole object, but when I
a vector of the object, it crashes... And, restarting R, it doesn't
happen.
I heard the sysadm who did the installation had some problems,
I don't know what it was about, but if I understood him correctly,
it only happened when he tuned for EV6, so it shouldn't be a problem now,
I guess....

R-1.1.0 on Alpha?
Has anyone succeeded in compiling R-1.1.0 on a Digital (Compaq) Alpha
running OSF4.0F (or E)? Everything seems to compile OK (except the
frequent "Warning: Unresolved:" at link time - this threw me off the
scent for a while!), but then at run time I get:
Fatal error: The X11 shared library could not be loaded.
The error was dlopen: cannot load

What do you think about this motherboard?
Hello all..... I would like to know if anyone here has had good
experience with this Supermicro
motherboard.....http://supermicro.com/products/motherboard/P4/E7221/P8SCT.cfm
I am thinking about using it in an entry level mail and file server
with a 3ware card and 200 GB SATA drives. Cost is a factor here
otherwise I would go for an Opteron board instead.

Compaq V2000 laptop no USB recognized
To continue here with problems on this compaq v2000
laptop, I put kernel source on a USB disk and plugged it
into the v2000. NOTHING IS recognized.
I tried to manually mount the disk and nothing either...
I thought USB was well established....
I thought trying to recompile the kernel for realtek support
might get my networking going...
I am stuck???

digital unix linking problem
Greetings.
I'm trying to install R-0.90.1 on our digital 4.0F servers (alphaev6 arch).
Using either the digital cc and f77, or gcc 2.95.2 and g77, R compiles,
but on trying to execute it I get:
11819:./bin/R.X11: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: cannot map xxxxxxx
I'm used to 'cannot map', but always with a shared library name,
not 'xxxxxxx'. Has anyone else ru...

R-devel on alpha Tru64: cxml/dxml problem (PR#977)
...are using gcc/g77 and not DEC cc/f77 we cannot use
CXML/DXML libraries.
And indeed, make check succeeds with "--without-blas" added to the
configure options.
Solution:
I would suggest to modify the configure script not to use dxml/cxml on
alpha-tru64 by default.

problems compiling R-0.63.3 and 0.64.0 on alpha
I have problems compiling R (both 0.63.3 and 0.64.0) on a DEC-UX 4.0E alpha
(ev6) as illustrated in the enclosed log. I have tried adding the suggestions
given in PLATFORMS, without any significant improvement...
I have included the config.cache aswell.
Any suggestions on how to solve this ?
Thanx!
Andreas

Compiling R on an Alpha
Sorry to be such a nuisance but after asking for help with compiling
R-1.1.0 on an Intel-based machine I now have another problem on the
Alpha DS-10 server which my students use.
Compilation and instalation proceed perfectly, but when I invoke R I
get:
[etdx01:bin]$ ./R
Fatal error: The X11 shared library could not be loaded.
The error was /home/etptupaf/R/lib/R/bin/R_X11.so: undefined

update config.guess and config.sub to support aarch64
Hello,
would it be possible to update config.sub and config.guess to the latest versions (or at least version
from automake-1.13.1) in order to support new architectures based on the ARM 64 bit CPU?
Patch: http://plautrba.fedorapeople.org/openssh/openssh-latest-config.sub-config.guess.patch
Related Fedora bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=926284
Thanks,
