Problem boot PXE UEFI on HP ML350 Gen9
Hi All,
My PXE configurations works fine for a bios PXE (the server in legacy
mode) but hangs in an EUFI mode. Look like it can transfer the bootx64.efi
but not the next one ldlinux.e64
Any ideas?
Thanks

syslinux EFI?
Hello,
I have the following environment - ISC dhcp + Syslinux. Any chance to get it working for EUFI clients? I need to be able boot both BIOS and UEFI clients.
I know that alpha version of syslinix should have EFI support but didn't found how to get this working.
Thanks.

I posted this on the bugzilla page but I figured that on the mailing

Software does not boot in Secure Boot
The matter of EUFI?s Secure Boot vs Legacy Boot has been briefly discussed a couple of days ago. I would ask the List opinion concerning our case.
A bit of the history. We?ve been in the research of malicious hypervisor threat since 2013. We finally developed publicly available HyperCatcher freeware. It runs on spec...

Libvirt-install w8 iso
...he install.
What is wrong with my command? How can I try another way (like
mounting the ISO on a dir). I dual boot arch and w8, so there is
already a w8 installed on my ssd. Maybe can make an .img of the
installed w8 then use this img ? Or directly use the partiton?
I must add my machine boots in EUFI, not sure it has something to do.
Then, I have issue when loading KVM kernel modules: permission denied.
The user is in the KVM & qemu group, and /dev/kvm belongs to user:kvm. I need to
# rmmod kvm_intel before I start $ virt-install .....
Last, I don't understand well if I need to use q...

Reboot and you should have your old eth0, eth1, etc. naming convention

Hope this helps.

I am going to assume that by "boot this image" you don't mean something
like memdisk or equivalent, but rather that you want to transfer that

Renaming virtio devices names on CentOS 8 VM guest
I have built a CentOS 8 base image from a kickstart, for use in OpenStack.
This image boots fine but the problem I have is that I can't stop udev from renaming the network device from eth0 to ens<something>.
I have /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 with the correct HWADDR defined in it, and have set net.ifnames=0 and biosdevname=0 in the grub configuration, but nothing I have

qemu to uefi and legacy boot the usb stick for testing.
It mostly works for me, but the "wget a tarball of binaries" step
isn't going to sit well with the debian folk, so I'm not done yet. I
may be close enough that they will know how to do it properly.
