Policy routing and strange packets traversing.
...they didnt
catch anything what says for me this "bad" traffic didnt really go
through incorrect interfaces.
So that I am confused on this packet traversing.. Could someone explain
this behaviour ? Is it OK or I have missed something ?

Special Meetme
...up a meetme application in the following maner:
One operator is connected to a room.
The operator hears and can talk to all the participants, but one participant can only hear/talk to the operator, not others.
The operator is using one phone.
To be more explicit, this means that every new person etering the room has a one2one conversation with the operator only, and the operator talks with all the participants in the same time, a participant hears only the operator.
Do you have any ideeas how can i do this?
Thank you.

ices stops connecting to server after 24hours
...eing able to reconnect. Here is some sample ices.log
output:
[2003-10-09 06:57:17] DBUG om_shout/check_shout_connected Time we started
stream on xstream1.com:8000/xxxx.ogg
[2003-10-09 06:57:17] EROR om_shout/check_shout_connected Failed to
connect to xstream1.com:8000/xxxx.ogg (Cannot set param
eter while connected)
It appears to be a small bug in the networking code (buffer
overflow?) as the savefile instance is unaffected.
Stopping and starting ices fixes the problem (eg it reconnects fine)
Cheers,

service::start borken
...follow Zed''s advice on a previous thread to just use the
start command to start the service. Does anyone know if there is a
way to get a mongrel service started using the most recent release of
mongrel_service?
Thanks!

Smb signing - how can I check?
Howdy,
Does anyone know how to check the samba setting of "smb signing"? There is
a data write error that can happen with the signing, and I'd like to check
my samba servers.
See

Which function to use: grep, replace, substr etc.?
Hello,
I have a simple question but I don't know which method is best to use for my
problem.
I have the following strings:
str1 <- "My_name_is_peter"
str2 <- "what_is_your_surname_peter"
I would like to apply predefined abbreviations for peter=p and name=n to
both strings
so that the new strings look like the followings:
str1: "My_n_is_p"
str2: "what_is_your_surn_p"

bonding & vlan - kernel 2.4.18 (RHL7.3)
Hi,
Hopefully this won''t be too off-topic (I''ve seen both bonding & vlan
mentioned on the list, but not really together).
I''ve tried to get bonding (2 x 100Mb EEPro, but will want to try on
1000BaseT) and vlans to work together, but without luck. I can get them
working fine (seemingly at least - I didn''t tried bursting on the
bonded port) individually.
