Tribes 1.x & Wine
Has anyone ever tried to actually get a tribes server running under wine or another emulator? Just the other day i was setting up a linux counter-strike server. My friend asked me if i would setup a Tribes 1.0 or 1.11 server. I thought linux would be a great way to do it. I was trying to run a headless / dedicated starsiege tribes server (1.0/1.11) I Installed the tribes files (including the

xvm-gate: arrow keys broken in pygrub
One of my test domUs is a opensuse 10.3 PV domain, and it has a /boot/grub/menu.lst file. pygrub is used as bootloader. With xVM 3.1.4, the arrow keys can be used in the pygrub screen. With xVM 3.3-unstable, the arrow keys don''t work for me any more. What I''ve found out so far is that: - gnome-terminal, xterm or dtterm are running with "vt100 application key

MENU HIDDENKEY help?
Hi, I was hoping you could shed some light in usage of the directive MENU HIDDENKEY in syslinux (extlinux 4.04) The docs say: MENU HIDDENKEY key[,key...] command... So, in my conf I have: MENU HIDDENKEY Esc openelec Where openelec is the label of the boot option I want to run only if Esc is pressed. But pressing Esc on boot has no effect. Default is run. So, do I misunderstand the

Coolkey and esc and "SmartCard"s, oh, my
What's happening: I put my "SmartCard" in the reader, and the Coolkey phone home window pops up. I close it, and the SmartCard manager window pops up, saying it's not initialized. Neither of these should be happening with these cards (US federal gov't issue, not DoD). Googling, I find <https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2010-0068.html>, and in that, it says (in part):

comments about 5.00pre10
Hi Matt, First comments about 5.00-pre10. 1_ When using "ctrl+v" in the boot prompt, there is no space character between the version and the boot mode. Additionally, the main version number is shown twice. For example, "SYSLINUX 5.00 5.00-PRE10CHS" should be: "SYSLINUX 5.00-PRE10 CHS" 2_ Boot to menu.c32, press [ESC] to go to the boot prompt. Pressing [ESC]

Sending signals to current R process from R running under MS Windows (c.f. Esc)
I am using RGtk2 for a simple GUI (rattle). I start rattle from the RGui and I remain able to interact with the RGui while rattle runs. Under MS/Windows, when rattle has initiated some other underlying R command the rattle GUI remains responsive (unlike under GNU/Linux where it is not responsive until the underlying command completes). I can interrupt the running command with a press of the Esc

re-throwing an interrupt condition
Anyone knows a way to re-throw a caught interrupt condition, so that it behaves just like the original one? I.e. no error message is printed, but the execution is stopped of course. With just calling stop in the error handler, it prints the error message, or, if there is no error message (like in the original interrupt condition), another error happens. tryCatch(Sys.sleep(100), interrupt =

password problem -- or bug?
A Redhat 6.0 linux server with Samba 2.0.6, Windows 95/98 clients. By accident I just discovered a surprising and quite disappointing password problem on our Samba network. If a user on our network has a non-empty Windows password, he is forced to supply his password to log in to the network and gain writing privilegies -- as expected. However, if the user has an empty Windows password, he is
