Start up script fails [/etc/killpower]

Everything is completely functional here now. Not sure if the APC BackUPS ES550 is on the list of compatible devices, but it works just fine with the usbhid-ups driver, and supports several basic commands. Best, Melvin

We do have a report for the ES550, but it's for an older version of NUT (2.2.0), and it doesn't list the supported commands: http://b...

Server not shutting down before power loss
Hi I hope someone can please help. I have an Ubuntu Server running 14.04.3 LTS and using an APC ES550 UPS connected via USB. I've installed Nut and can see it does monitor the UPS correctly and give the correct stats with battery percentage etc. But on doing a "real" test and unplugging the UPS from the power supply, after watching the battery drop slowly suddenly the server just lo...

Start up script fails
Good morning all. I am on a different system with a different UPS, and I am fighting a similar problem to the one I posted about yesterday, and again making little headway. This system is running Debian Wheezy and connected to an APC BackUPS ES550. Starting things manually seems to go well, but my startup script fails, and nothing is logged anywhere. This may not be a NUT question per se, but I don't know where else to turn. What works: amdbox:/etc/nut# /sbin/upsdrvctl start Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.6.4 Network UPS To...
