Wiki deuglification Part I
Hey guys,
I toyed around with the Wiki today to deuglify it a little bit. I used a
theme which is a bit of a "CMS" theme for MoinMoin and played around
with the logo colors.
The theme is based on the plsavez theme, which I like as it has a very
uncluttered interface for people who aren't logged in - they only see
some important interwiki links (FrontPage, RecentChanges and so on),

Avoiding user home directories
Hi,
When I connect to SAMBA using a particular username, apart from the shares I created,
it appears that the home directory of the user logging in also shows up in the share list.
I searched for a parameter using which I could control this, but was unsuccessful.
The [HOMES] section of my SMB.CONF looks like:
[homes]
comment = Home Directories
read only = No

Bug#511959: klibc-utils: ipconfig times out when several machines boot at the very same time
Package: klibc-utils
Version: 1.5.12-2
Severity: important
Tags: patch
(I'm using X-Debbugs-Cc so that the klibc list receives a copy directly.
I'd be glad to be kept in Cc since I don't follow that list, thanks
already.)
Hi maks, hpa, Louis, and others,
I've been experiencing for a while timeouts at DHCP-time in ipconfig
when starting up several machines (say: 2 out of 4

CentOS vs. RHEL vs. Oracle Linux ?
Hi,
I've been contacted by a local training center specialized in Oracle
databases, to train a group of four administrators to use Linux. They're
supposed to use Oracle Linux (more exactly "OL5"), which I understand is
some specialized version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
I'm reasonably proficient with CentOS. I've been using it exclusively on
desktops and servers

Released Sieve v0.1.7 and ManageSieve v0.11.6 for Dovecot v1.2.0
Hello Dovecot users,
I hereby release new versions of the Sieve packages for the recently
released Dovecot v1.2.0 (Congrats Timo!). Apart from small changes to
make things compile with Dovecot again, a few other bugs were fixed as
well.
Unfortunately, the (FreeBSD-specific) 8kb script truncation bug remains.
Although it is reported for Dovecot v1.1.16, I see no reason why it
should not

ldif invalid per syntax
Hello CentOS
I am having a bit of trouble importing an ldif into openldap, tho the
syntax looks a-ok to me. I am attempting to import my sudoers list
into my ldap configuration and I used an application called sudoers2ldif
to generate the ldif.
I used the following command to import the file:

[root at bluethundr-desktop:~/txt/ldif ] $:ldapadd -h

[3.0.28a] Telling XP to save password?
Hello
We're successfully running Samba 3.0.28a on a FreeBSD server and
sharing files with XP clients. There's only one problem: By default,
XP doesn't let the user save the password, so they have to type it
every time they reboot.
Is there a way to tell XP to remember the password between
reboots/sessions?
Thank you.

FXO mode
I've had a few problems with my system holding the line after a call has
been made, just now I rebooted and noticed the following in
/var/log/messages
Aug 13 17:23:15 Sheriff kernel: wcfxo: DAA mode is 'FCC'
in the file wcfxo.c the following structure is initialised as below
which would suggest that FCC is wrong for France or pretty well all of
Europe.

[PATCH] Handle MSI irq storm
<<handle_msi_irq_storm.patch>> Hi, Keir,
This patch handles MSI irq storm. Unluckily, I have observed this
phenomenon again. This will happen when some kind of MSI-X capable NIC
is assigned to an HVM guest. The basic idea is to mask the interrupt on
receiving the second interrupt and set a timer to unmask after 1ms.
Can you have a look and give some comments on that? Thanks!

Hi! This is another thread of "setting gateway in interfaces file" and
while i dont want to create any confusion here, i have decided to open
a new thread.(which mean Diamond King no longer a subscriber to
shorewall-users)
Actually, i turned out not to be the MARK issues. Something is missing
and i got this error instead :-

Creating Interface Chains...
