Windows XP pro login failures
I am trying to get Windows XP pro to join the domain. I set the NTLM
to version 1 and all the logs say that it is logging in correctly,
but XP is telling me that the domain controller can't be found or the
machine doesn't have a user account. I added the account. Also how
do I give a non-root user privs so that when windows xp asks me for a
username and password to join the domain,

...ents in order to get rid of the
NT4-PDC.
The upgrade worked fine, no probs with Samba up to that point (shares
can be connected, guest account works, browsing is all right).
But when i finally try to put a W2K-Client to the Samba-Domain i get
the message "Die Prozeduranzahl liegt au_erhalb des erlaubten
Bereichs".
The machine account ukav001 on the Samba-Domain exists in /etc/passwd
and smbpasswd (smbpasswd -a -m ukav001 told "Adedd user ukav001$").
I also tried it without machine account on Samba side and so on but
didn' t succeed anyway (all my trials were made as root).
Now...
