Unreal Tournament 2003
I've just gotten around to reading the IRC chat with the developers of
Unreal Tournament 2003.
Looks like Vorbis support is a possibility:

Notes on building a gcc toolchain for Rtools (but not multilib)
Hi,
[This is a follow-up to the "New version of Rtools for Windows" thread
in January, but I just subscribed and don't know how to reply to an
old thread -- my apologies.]
I was able to use the nuwen distro to build a gcc 4.9.2 toolchain and
use it to build the latest R-patched with it.
Below are some notes about what I did; I hope they will be useful for
keeping Rtools

I am planning to put a new Rtools online today that uses a different
build of gcc 4.9.2. I will be concentrating on getting it to work

winbind problems with linux domain member
Hey everyone,
I'm having some strange responses, and a bit of trouble with getting
access to a member server on my domain. I've got Samba running on
another Linux box as a PDC, and my Win2k clients can login just fine,
and share between one another. The problem comes in with another
Linux workstation that's setup as a member server.
Here's the relevant smb.conf section from the

Speex 1.0 RC3 is out
Hi,
Just to let you know that Speex 1.0 RC3 is out. It should be the last RC
until 1.0 is released (tentative release date is March 16th). Please
give RC3 a try and report bugs so they can be fixed before 1.0. As
usual, download from http://www.speex.org/download.html

Urgent help on replacing /var
In a moment of epic stupidity, having ran out of space on the root
partition of a server due to /var chewing up the space, I added a
separate drive for the purpose of mounting it as /var
To do so, I mounted the new drive as /var2, cp -R (in hindsight should
had rsync to preserve attributes), deleted the original /var to free
up space, edited fstab and rebooted... unsurprisingly to a fubar'd

OggFLAC streaming is systemically broken.
Not that many people are streaming FLAC, and if they are, they are, in
my mind, undoubtedly experiencing problems. Probably the most prized
kind of software problem of all, the intermittent kind.
I am streaming FLAC. 24bit no less, and its fantastic. The future I
would like to live in, is one where lossless music is streamed and
heard by people other than myself.
It is generally not possible to

Visual Studio .NET
Hi`
we recently switched to using Visual Studio .NET and now I get a crash
inside Ogg Vorbis unless I recompile Ogg Vorbis itself with Visual Studio
.NET. Are there any known issues like that? If possible I'd like to use the
official binaries.

Loop-vectorizer prototype for the EPI Project based on the RISC-V Vector Extension (Scalable vectors)
Hi all,
At the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, we have been working on an
end-to-end vectorizer using scalable vectors for RISC-V Vector extension
in context of the EPI Project
<https://www.european-processor-initiative.eu/accelerator/>. We earlier
shared a demo of our prototype implementation
(https://repo.hca.bsc.es/epic/z/9eYRIF, see below) with the folks
involved with LLVM
