postgis-2.0.7-2.el7 still in epel7-testing?
Hi all, I'm looking for a fix in postgis, which seems to be fixed already in postgis-2.0.7-2.el7. However that package seems to be 'stuck' in the epel7-testing repository: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=750618 https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2016-b6c229157e Is there a reason that the package is not pushed to stable yet? Or can it be pushed to stable? -- Kind regards, Danny

Was it removed? This is probably more appropriate for one of the EPEL lists, but: You can see in the epel7 branch for the 'pass' package: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/pass/blob/epel7/f/dead.package that it refers to this BZ: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1639806 which says: The latest version of 'pass' uses the '-C' git option which is not available in th...

Hello, I read here and there that `pass` is available for CentOS 7 through the EPEL repository. In which I cannot find it :-). I see it available for C8 but not C7. Was it removed? Ansible repository shenanigans in EL7
For those not aware ansible has been deprecated in RHEL7 from the extras repository. In the RHEL specific world it's now in an optional "product" (basically an optional subscription) that is part of any RHEL subscription, but it's opt in. As a result ansible is back in the EPEL7 repository for 2.5.0+ , having been removed for ansible 2.4.2 when it got introduced to the RHEL extras repo. I have no idea what, if anything, the CentOS team will do with the ansible in the CentOS7 extras repository.

PHP vulnerability CVE-2016-4073
...built against, we can't package any > applications there that need the newer functionality from RHSCL ... James, let me start out by saying that I greatly appreciate your work in and with EPEL. It is fantastic. And even in the context of what I write below I am a mostly satisfied user of EPEL7; there are just a few rough edges (and core policies) that are becoming increasingly annoying. What I am about to suggest is likely to be rather controversial. If the upstream RHSCL cannot be used, then why can't EPEL be built against CentOS and then use the CentOS SCL to fix this issue?...

Just do the following fedpkg clone geany cp geany fedpkg srpm fedpkg switch-branch epel7 vi geany.spec # change 1.32 to 1.34.1 fedpkg mockbuild el6 looks like it does not have new enough versions of vte and some other parts to work. -- Stephen J Smoogen.

...rectories below /tmp with configs as shipped. The command line tool wrote the file to /tmp as expected. The perl code running under httpd reading what it thought was /tmp was actually looking under /tmp/systemd-private-something. Someday, maybe, you'll understand why some people prefer the command line interface. > 7) Again, hasn't anyone installed Grsync in centos 7 from source? I hate > to being the "lab rat". The Fedora packages rebuild fine for epel7 (I just tested it), so I would assume that'd be the best place to start if you wanted to build your own packages. Or you could just use the Nux Desktop repo. See: http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories -- Jonathan Billings <billings at negate.org>

PHP vulnerability CVE-2016-4073
Hello, My server with CentOS 6.8 just failed PCI scan, so I'm looking into vulnerable packages. PHP 5.3.3 have multiple vulnerabilities, some of them are fixed/patched or have some kind of workaround. But I can't find a way to fix this one. Red Hat state: under investigation. https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/cve-2016-4073 This CVE is 6 months old, and it doesn't look like it

MATE 1.20 test build for CentOS 7 available
...a .spec files. The scripts are available at: https://github.com/gebailey/mate-rpms/tree/master/1.20/el7 There's also instructions there if you want to try upgrading to MATE 1.20 w/o rebuilding them yourself. If these packages work for others, perhaps we can revisit the idea of updating the epel7 branches of the Fedora git repos and submitting an official update. There's nothing here (yet) about building MATE 1.22 (which might require a newer gcc for EL7), or building anything on CentOS 8, but thought the CentOS 7 users might find this helpful. -Greg
