[RFC PATCH v2 0/7] stabilize kepler reclocking
Hello,
following up on myself, it was suggested on IRC that I better attach a
dmesg output. Here's the output of a clean boot & echo 0f >
/sys/.../pstate cycle.
I can't spot a message that relates to the reclock action, and there's
only one weird "nouveau 0000:04:00.0: clk: base: 7 MHz, boost: 7 MHz"
message.
On the other hand:

"Not enough memory" on MacOSX
I just installed wine 1.2-rc7 on a recent Macbook Pro under MacOSX 10.6.4 using Macports. It works fine with several Windows applications. However, when I try to execute an EXE file compiled from a simple Fortran program on a Windows box, all I get is:
wine: Not enough memory
The message is not correct since I have 4GB and the program is small. Also, the program works with wine-1.0.1 on a Linux box (Ubuntu 8.something).
The problem only does basic terminal and file i/o, nothing graphical.
I'm a wine novice and don't know how to proceed. Thanks in adva...

Error / Unable to allocate enough memory
Hello,
I am having a problem with wine 0.9.45 through 1.1.3. I have an application that worked fine using wine 0.9.45 until I was forced to do a reinstall due to a bad hard drive. Now I always get Error / Unable to allocate enough memory when I run the application. Here is the command I am running:
MDCrack-sse.exe --charset=tesTES --algorithm=NTLM1 --minsize=8 --maxsize=8 D280553F0103F2E643406517296E7582
The password is TestTest for those that care.
Why do I always get unable to allocate enough memory? I am using sla...

How do I remove a kernel
I have 4 kernels in /boot, leaving on 20MB which is not enough for the
next one.
I had installonly_limit= set at 5, as there were some kernel problems.?
After I got the error that there was not enough room for another kernel,
I set installonly_limit= to 3 and did the update with --exclude=kernel*
That worked to update everything else, but not remove the o...

Migrating Asterisk
...der RH9 installed on a
10GB "leftover" drive. Thanks to the strange marketing method called
"Mail-In-Rebate", I have a fresh 160GB drive ($50), and I'm itching to
install a GenToo Linux distro.
I also have a 1.2ish GHz Duron with Mobo sitting around here, which may
just be enough to power my (barely ever transcoding) asterisk install.
Should be enough, even if one channel were transcoded occasionally, no?
Let's say I start with a fresh machine, GenToo (2.4 Kernel), and a
recent Asterisk (which one? I'm running HEAD from 05/02/2004 right now,
heavy on SIP, no probl...

When I try to issue $db->reopen(); I sometimes (not very often, but
often enough to care about it), I get the following exception in the
perl wrappings:
Exception: Couldn't read enough (EOF)
What can cause this? Can it fail if something is commiting when I
issue the call?
I am currently running xapian 1.0.4 on amd64 machines, with a custom

opendir(somedir/somefile): Not enough space -- why?
I am attempting to use rsync to copy a large filesystem from an
HP-UX server to a Linux server with more than enough filespace.
This operation fails. A small directory from the same HP-UX server
can be transfered just as expected.
The HP-UX server is the source. It has 1Gb RAM - the output of bdf for
the volume the source files is on is:

Not enough memory to run installer
I'm trying to install a game using Wine (Company of
Heroes Multiplayer Beta), but when I try to execute
the installer, I get the error:
wine: could not load
L"Z:\\home\\bratch\\CoHBeta_1_19_0.exe": Not enough
memory
Somebody on #winehq suggested I move it to
~/.wine/drive_c/, but this gave the same error.
The installer is 1.6GB, and I have tried to run it
with varying amounts of free memory, including a fresh
boot where I had 1.9GB of memory free.
The installer can be downloaded here if you wish to

[LLVMdev] question on optimizations: when to stop??
...passes from
http://llvm.org/docs/Passes.html
if i run the these optimizes once on the input LLVM bitcode, the
output bitcode is optimized.
but to my surprise, if i run the optimizes once more, the output
bitcode is further optimized.
so i have few questions:
1. why running optimizes once is not enough? they are not smart enough
to figure out that they should repeat the optimizes once more, until
no optimized can be done anymore?
2. in case that optimizes must be repeated in multiple rounds, how can
i know when is the time to stop? (ie when i dont need to run the
output bitcode thru the optimize...
