Enlarge ext3 Logical Volume (Filesystem) in a volume group (LVM)
Anybody know a way to enlarge a filesystem ext3 without having to unmounted it, when they are still space left in the volume group (when using LVM) ? I will be running large production linux system running Oracle. I can't stop the database everytime I have to enlarge a filesystem. We can do it with all others filesystems (JFS, REISERSFS and XFS) when they are created in a volume group. Why

lint_to_remote for image
I have some simple code so that when you click on a thumbnail, it''s supposed to display the image enlarged in the enlargement area. The page looks right, but when you click on a thumb nothing happens, it just moves up the page. Why is the href=# happening ? The generated html comes after the sample rhtml <%= image_tag @enlargement, :width => "279", :height => "200" %>...

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: enlarge GART aperture
This patch enlarges the PCI GART aperture to 512 MB. The current 64MB aperture is too small and should be enlarged. The optimal amound may be card/system-dependent, so a more sophisticated approach may be preferable. In particular, if RAMIN is less than 1MB, a 512MB aperture won't fit. Howto enlarge fonts size in R- Graphics?
Hi, I am fairly new to GNU R ! At the moment I am doing an intensive learning on the basics of GNU R-1.91, especially graphics like plots and alike, by reading the introductory docs! Well, except some occasional glitches (X11 output errors) everything seems to be fine, thanks to developers for this fine program! But there is a slight problem with the size of fonts in graphics, i.e. its very

large fonts on plots
Hi all, I need to enlarge te fonts used oo R-plots (plots, histograms, ...) in labels and titles etc. I seem to be unable to figure out how to do it. The problem is that the titles of the plots are simply unreadable when I insert them into my LaTeX text, since they are relatively small compared to the entire plot. I am sure it is pretty simple, can anybody give me a hint ? Please reply

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: enlarge GART aperture (v2)
Changes in v2: - Compute size based on ramin_rsvd_size This patch enlarges the PCI GART aperture to 512 MB, or the space covered by a DMA object filling half RAMIN. The current 64MB aperture is too small and should be enlarged. The optimal amound may be card/system-dependent, so a more sophisticated approach may be preferable. Could anyone with an nv04 test whether this doesn't break there? Signed-off-by: Luca Barbieri <luca at luca-barbieri.com> --- drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_sgdma.c | 14 +++++++++++...

enlarging partition and its filesystem
Hi all! I've got a VM at work running C6 on HyperV (no, its not my fault, that's what the company uses. I'd rather gag myself than own one of th ose things.) I ran out of disk space in the VM, so the admin enlarged the virtual disk. but now I realize I don't know how to enlarge the partition and its filesystem. I'll be googling, but in case I miss it, it'd be great if someone could point me in the right direction. thanks! Fred -- ---------------------------------------------------------------...

change legend character size in image.plot
I'm using the image.plot() function (fields package), but I want to enlarge the characters of the legend (as they are too small to be read in a combined figure), but there is no way I can find a command to do this. I can enlarge the legend bar (with legend.witdh), axis character size (cex.axis) or the total legend size (legend.shrink), but not the character size of the legend characters

mosaic plot of "vcd" package does not stretch with 2-dimension?
Hi, I like mosaic function of "vcd" package. I have played around it. I have found out that mosaic plot data table is 2-dimension does not stretch when you enlarge a mosaic plot. It is okay when data table is 3 or more dimension. The first one is of 3-dimension table case, and the second one is 2-dimension. With the first plot, you can drag window to enlarge a plot. With the

How to enlarge fonts in Wine?
When I run an application in Wine fonts are too small. The same application on real Windows have fonts ok. However there were "120DPI" big fonts in real Windows. Screen resolution is the same 1024x768. Please give me details how to make fonts bigger in Wine. I am a beginner in wine. Wine 0.9.31 compiled from source. Suse 10.2 64. For older versions of Wine I have found a trick on

Possible memdisk issue
...me solve my problem. For anyone else that runs into similar trouble and finds this thread, here follow summaries of what I've learned. To recap, our PXE server holds Dell BIOS updates in FreeDOS floppy images booted via MEMDISK. For newer hardware those update programs are huge, so require enlarged floppy images. (I prefer floppy images over hard drive images because it seems easier to quickly loop mount and modify a floppy image in Linux, than to loop mount a buried partition from within a hard drive image.) To enlarge existing floppy images, I originally learned of newmkfloppyimg.sh fro...

vol-info showing old disk size
Hi, I just resized the disk image of a virtual machine by following the recommended virt-resize procedure. The enlarged disk is working fine, and the size is correctly detected and used in the virtual machine. But "virsh vol-info /path/to/imagefile" still shows the old size and allocation. Is there a way to "fix" this, i.e. making virsh aware of the new size? Thanks. Marco

Centosplus & CentOS Extras, Enlarge your tent
I think Jim (the other one) is doing a marvellous job with extras and plus but he needs to expand the size of his tent. A sensible package policy in extras/plus repo will mean fewer temptations to install 3rd party repo's that can break your system. Some of the packages i would like to see are :- - MySQL 5 rpms - php 5 rpms (already provided) - Open Office 2.0 rpms - webmin - rkhunter -

Small LOGIN_MAX_INBUF_SIZE for GSSAPI with samba4 (AD)
...this problem with enlarging LOGIN_MAX_INBUF_SIZE. I also red about wrong lower/uppercase but it's not definitely my problem (I tried all possibilities of lower/uppercas in login). I sniffed the plain communication and the "a0000 AUTHENTICATE GSSAPI" line has around 1873 chars. When I enlarged the LOGIN_MAX_INBUF_SIZE to 2048 the problem disappeared and I'm now able to login to dovecot using gssapi in mutt client. I use also thunderbird (on windows with sspi) and it works ok with LOGIN_MAX_INBUF_SIZE = 1024. Does anybody have any idea why it's so large or how to fix it another...

ESRI Shapefile for EU-25
Hi all, who knows how to get an ESRI Shapefile for the NUTS-2 Regions of the enlarged European Union? Particularly I want to draw maps of Germany, Poland, Czech Republik, Hungary and Austria. I've found Shapefiles for the US, Russia and other countries elsewhere in the web, but for Europe it seems really difficult. With many thanks for any hint Albrecht
