repositories for 2.11 & 2.12
Dear experts,
I have to install ggplot2 packages for R 2.11 and 2.12 but this is
available for 2.14 only.
My question: are there urls for previous R version which can be use in
install.packages ?
Thanks

VorbisGain
Is an "official" vorbisgain source tarball available anywhere for *nix? Seems like everything I've found is a pre-built windows binary...
Thanks in advance!

Compiling Tremor to ARM
Hi there. Would some kind soul please refer me to instructions for building
an arm-elf-gcc that'll compile the Tremor sources? (In particular, what
sources to get and where, and what to build in what order.) I'm developing
on Debian Woody i386, but I'll happily take whatever advice you can send my
way.
I'm no expert in the field of compiler building, but I can't seem to

can't seem to remove winbind cache
...turns the old
information. My new user doesn't show up with getent passwd or id.
I have tried the following:
Stopped winbind.
Deleted /var/cache/samba
deleted /var/lib/samba/winbindd_idmap.tdb
restarted samba
started winbind
To no avail.....what have I missed?
Thanking you in advance....

CLASSIFY target documentation
...9;re not in the
packet, so my next obvious solution is to skip MARKing them and just
CLASSIFY them...
So, pointers to documentation on CLASSIFY would be appreciated. Also,
if it is an optional feature, that means I''ll have to apply a patch
from the PatchoMatic, right?

domain member server authentication problem
Hi
I'm having problems implementing a domain member server using winbind.
I've setup a test share on the server (BERTHOG) and test user (alex)
on the PDC (RODNEY).
Winbind seems to be running fine:
berthog:/srv$ wbinfo -n alex
S-1-5-21-2502943273-132007109-1129902423-3006 User (1)
But when I try to connect to the share:
berthog:/srv$ smbclient //BERTHOG/shared -U alex

winbind setup problem
I have a samba (version 3.0.14a-Debian) running an NT style domain
and want to add a member file server implementing winbind.
When I use "wbinfo -u" it returns a list of all my domain users. When
I use "wbinfo -g" it returns 3 results: DOMAIN#power users,
DOMAIN#administrators, DOMAIN##backup operators, but nothing else

Vorbis on Palm OS
Hi there. Apologies if this is off-topic -- I'll be happy to take this
offline with the right individual(s).
For those who don't know, the next generation Palm Powered devices will
feature ARM processors and a new digital sound playback API, so naturally
I'm working on a software Vorbis decoder app.
Given the (probable) lack of floating point hardware on these devices, I'm

logististic regression (GLM). How to get 95 pct. confidence limits?
Dear R-list.
I'm doing af logistic analyses using gml.
The model explaines variations in Adverse events infections (0 og 1) using
age as explanatory variable.
model2d<-glm(formula=AEorSAEInfecBac~Age,family=binomial("logit"),data=emrisk)
I want to get predictions with 95% confidence limits for age 30 and age 60.
I've been reading the "google" and "search

Porting Vorbis lib on Ti DSP ? How to ?
Hello All,
I would be very interested to have your ideas to port the vorbis lib ( part of
lib at least) on a DSP TMS320C5409 (running @ 90Mhz).
I have reviewed messages and URLs related to:
- 'ivdev' Integerized Vorbis Project
- Ogg-on-a-Chip Project
This is very interesting. In my case I think the best approach
would be , in order to shorten porting work & time,
to recompile the

slightly different audio output
Hi,
I wonder if there is specific requirement or restriction for the decoder
in order to be consider "Vorbis" compliant (or let's say, to be a
"correct" vorbis decoder). I am experimenting with integerized libvorbis
and the decoder delivers the audio data as following, (and compare with
the floating point version below).

Uncoupled mode?
Hello,
A question:
Can we use uncoupled encoding in the 1.0?
(current CVS)
How?
Because I see some uncoupled definitions
(books\uncoupled\res_books_uncoupled.h),
but I don't know how could I switch to it
manually.
Perhaps with an option in the
vorbis_encode_ctl() function...
Because I think so it's better if I don't
use any kind of channel coupling (lossless
neither) on high bitrates

fitting lots of music into 10GB with Vorbis
Hi- just wondering, what would be the best quality rating to use to fit lots of music into 10GB of HD space.
The audio quality has to be high enough for it to sound good when played through PA systems (for when my college is stupid enough to forget to hire a DJ, or when the realise the DJ they always hire can't use a mixing desk properly) ranging from a functional PA system thats stuck in the

At least consider adding your new variable as a member in the OggVorbis_File struct, so your state info will be self-contained.

Polls Plugin?
Just wondering if one exists already. Yeah it''s simple and I could code
it myself but I''m a lazy bastard and would rather reuse someone else''s
code.
Ideally it''d be able to different question types - like LiveJournal''s
polls only AJAXier - and generate stats etc.
Alternately - any of you willing to write one? :-P
