Distribution Diversity at Shorewall.net
Since RedHat announced the discontinuence of RedHat Linux, I''ve been
diversifying shorewall.net. The systems here now are as follows:
a) Firewall -- Debian testing (Installed using the Sarge online
installer).
b) File Server -- SuSE 9.0 Professional
c) Desktop -- Mandrake 9.0
d) Web/Mail -- RedHat 9.0

Bug#168259: r-base-core: help.start() assumes netscape is installed (PR#2275)
...say, sensible-browser akin to the
existing sensible-paper and sensible-editor. Now, as I said above,
this will likely be difficult or impossible to do well, so nobody
did it.
Also, /etc/alternatives is designed to switch between variants of the
same program: emacs as a choice between emacs20 and emacs21, netscape
as one between static motif and other linkage variants, ... whereas
sensible-$FOO is a wrapper around different programs doing $FOO.

Multiple versions of R
Hello!
I have testing version of Debian packages and I now I have the following
version of R
dpkg -s r-base
...
Version: 2.2.0.final-4
...
In unstable, the version of R is
apt-cache show r-base
...
Version: 2.2.1-6
...
...
Is it possible to have both versions installed at the same time? Which
version do you usually use for R i.e. stable, testing, unstable?
