ogg123 running under MacOS X

If s=-1, disable song skip. ---------- P.S.: There is no ESD nor MACOSX output devices yet, and I don't know why. I had to first decode the music to a wav file, the play it using esdcat. Elifarley C. vorbis won't compile as a Framework

ProjectBuilder project?
...mported project. Besides, PB lists ALL the files in red (indicating it cannot find the files), so it seems I'll have to manually include them, but if I do it, I'm afraid PB won't be aware they should be synched with the CVS server anymore. Can someone give me some advice ? Mac player; low bitrates; (was Re: vorbis players (or lack of) for mac)
.... don't you like the quality of the QDesign Music 2 codec ? It's impressive how it can encode in madly low bitrates and yet sound quite recognizable (try to encode a tune at only 8 kbits/s with it). BTW, when will vorbis be able to surpass QDesign Music 2 at this low bitrate ? Cheers, Elifarley C. Does it create - an Ogg stream with Vorbis audio data inside it ? - a Quicktime stream with an Ogg track with Vorbis audio inside ? - a Quicktime stream with an audio track encoded with the Vorbis codec ? Almost there...
Ok, I managed to compile the Ogg and Vorbis libs. Then, after modifying the file audio_out.c as follows: original: #include <dlfcn.h> modified: #include <win32/include/dlfcn.h> I was able to (finally!) compile libao. Then I tried to compile the module vorbis-tools, but uninvited problems came to my party. [...] > /usr/bin/ld: multiple definitions of symbol _getopt >

Re: vorbis.framework
I've committed Elifarley's ProjectBuilder files to ogg and vorbis cvs. They're both in the 'macosx' directories. I verified that they built, but didn't test the resulting frameworks. Just type 'open macosx/[ogg|vorbis].pbproj' from the terminal to try them out. They need a fair bit of cleanu...

libao and other things
...to the business at hand, if you aren't tired of it already =) One David Gatwood mentioned that there is a libcompat parallel for dealing with dylibs...does anyone happen to know what that would be? Or is someone already working on this? I've checked the archives, and it seems that my pal Elifarley is looking at such things as well (where are you?). Efforts will not be duplicated. Anyway, just looking for some pointers, because I'm in new territory and have no idea where else to look. have fun dongoodman <-- subscribing to this list now, cause it's obvious i've missed a lo...
