The kernel panics and dies with an error like "ram image not found at 0" Where has the uncompressed image gone to? Is there an offset at play here? Is pxelinux not compatible with (older) EISA based machines? My hardware is an old Compaq Proliant 5000 server. The need for a kernel memory parameter is well documented. Please see www.cpqlinux.com. ...recently upgraded a 4.11-REL machine to 6.0-REL and have run into some snags. While the installation from CD went fine, after configuring and enabling my ed0 NIC, bad things start to happen. FWIW, this machine is an ancient (hardware circa 1991, BIOS circa 1994) dual-Pentium 133 MHz machine, with EISA/PCI and onboard SCSI. Hello, I am having issues making my box boot with Xen. I am working with linux-2.6.16.28-xen on a gentoo box. The server is Dell PowerEdge 1850 with Perc 4e/Si, FW 521X. Hello, I have an odd problem on a dual processor, dual core Opteron system. Obviosously it is x86_64 so should have no problem large amounts of RAM.
