Let me to explain. In this host I three physical interfaces: eth0, eth1 and wlan0. eth0 is connected to my internal network. eth1 is connected to a public router and wlan0 is connected to another public router. wlan0 and eth1 are bonded to provide failover Internet connections....

Access denied to GPO folder
...ot; but i see how Windows is ignoring the permissions for that GPO. - On windows i can see how the "Domain Users" have access to that folder on security tab. - On PDC server i can see how the "Domain Users" group id with "getfacl GPOFolder" - If I go to Efective Permissions and i put any domain user then it shows the correct permissions. but i don't know why i get "Access Denied" on logon and when i try to enter to that folder from explorer. I really don't care about the GPo because is easy to create again, but is strange how Windows...

CentOS 5 + selinux
...c/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5 x86_64 CentOS release 5.5 (Final) mbox_write_locks = fcntl passdb { driver = pam } ssl_cert = </etc/pki/dovecot/certs/dovecot.pem ssl_key = </etc/pki/dovecot/private/dovecot.pem userdb { driver = passwd } I straced the process and it efectively tries to open /etc/shadow. I don't want to disable selinux but I'm not happy letting dovecot read my /etc/shadow. Is there a guide to selinux and dovecot? -- Marcelo "?No ser? acaso que ?sta vida moderna est? teniendo m?s de moderna que de vida?" (Mafalda)

Reading binary files
Hey guys, I am currently trying to read in a binary file using this helpful manual: http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/r/faq/read_binary.htm Reading binary files I also have the detailed format description from the developer. But somehow the reading of the file does still not work properly. The first entry in the file is the following, according to the manufacturer: "String containing 4 one-byte

Samba3+Nexus+Srvtools at least strange

Now I'm able to manage my samba3 with user manager for domains from srvtools, but not nexus :-(. From my point of view the sadest thing is that on 9x no other application can retrive user

[LLVMdev] LLVM 2.0 and integer signedness
I'm using LLVM to instrument C code to test the efectiveness of some methods of error detection with dynamic invariants (see http:// citeseer.ist.psu.edu/hangal02tracking.html). I'm using also a range invariant (max an min values seen). The problem is that for those invariants, I need to know if the value is signed or not (0xFF can be -1 or...

understanding --idmap for containers (v2.5.0)
...main lab-gentoo-01 started Connected to domain lab-gentoo-01 Escape character is ^] sh-4.3# /usr/bin/id uid=0(root) gid=0(root) groups=0(root) sh-4.3# pwd / sh-4.3# touch asdf touch: cannot touch 'asdf': Permission denied sh-4.3# indeed the container is using the idmap feature because the efective uid/gid map (900/900) is not allowing writes in the filesystem, but it doesn't seems very usefull. is it possible to have read/write containers while using idmap?

privsep versus compression
...t, ssh decided to turn off compression, I think because of servconf.c. I think it would be more usefull to have compression enabled and disable privsep as the encryption is almost useless when data is not compressed first. I think compression should never be disabled otherwise kerberos will be also efectively disabled. Any opinions? Below I'm just showing the section I'm talking about. It's not a PATCH to be applied. ;) diff -u -w -r openssh-3.2.3p1/servconf.c openssh/servconf.c --- openssh-3.2.3p1/servconf.c 2002-05-15 23:37:34.000000000 +0200 +++ openssh/servconf.c 2002-09-05 06:...

Win XP Client password change nightmare.
Hello, I have setup a Samba server with CentOS 5.2 and Samba 3.0.28-1.el5_2.1 (the CentOS included versi?n). I have configured Samba as a PDC following "Samba-3 by example" chapter 3, "Secure Office Networking". No DNS or DHCP active, as far as for now this is just a test environment. Most of it works fine, but trying to change user passwords for a MS-Windows test computer
