Samba 3.0 + LDAP as PDC
...d were a couple oddball newsgroup postings and a "Samba 2.2.4/LDAP PDC howto" which is well over a year old. I have a working LDAP userstore authenticating linux/unix logons and freeradius. Samba is the last bit in a month-long project for centralized authentication (due mid-next month *eep*) In my latest exploits I got as far as authenticating users for share access, (and ldap password sync, yay!) but I was unable to add machines to the domain, which may be a group mapping issue (What was so bad about "domain admin group"? :( ) I'm really just looking for some decent-...

RCurl::postForm() -- how does one determine what the names are of each form element in an online html form?

Help with thread Centos 6.4 won't reboot on install
Newbie here. Need help with a thread that has about 25 posts. No replies in a few days. The thread is in software support for centos 6 and the subject of the thread is Centos 6.4 won't reboot on install. Have had limited success in getting a login screen but once I logout, I can't get back in again. It was mentioned in the thread that the problem is likely in Network Configuration. I

retpoline mitigation and 6.0
Hi all, I saw the retpoline mitigation landed in r323155. Are we ready to merge this to 6.0, or are there any open issues that we're waiting for? Also, were there any followups I should know about? Also, release notes please :-) Thanks, Hans -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Again: bugs in contrib/solaris/opensshd.in and buildpkg.sh
(Shame on me: wrong filename in last posting, now here are correct diffs) in contrib/solaris/ (openssh-SNAP-20011017.tar.gz) 1) buildpkg.sh makes wrong link for /etc/init.d/opensshd 2) /etc/init.d/opensshd has not-working killproc here my version tested on Solaris 2.4 and 8 (no pgrep with solaris 2.4, XARGS was undefined, simpler syntax) J?rg --- contrib/solaris/buildpkg.sh Fri Oct 12

SYSLINUX 3.11-pre8 -- release candidate
I have released SYSLINUX 3.11-pre8; this is a release candidate. The differences versus -pre6 is that I have reverted the PXELINUX stack changes I did in SYSLINUX 3.10 since there are confirmed reports that they break at least one platform. As before, I hope to release 3.11 on Tuesday unless I get objections. ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/Testing/ -hpa

[bug] False debugging with ipconfig
kinit.c contains the following lines before calling ipconfig_main: #ifdef INI_DEBUG args[a++] = (char *)"-n"; #endif In my attempts to debug the NFS mounting, this threw me off for a bit. (The -n parameter runs a "dry run" and does not actually configure the network). Thus, it seems it's actually impossible to debug NFS mounting with the stock, unpatched klibc. It

push-pop ordering error found in memdisk
H. Peter Anvin, The following problem came to my attention with memdisk. I cannot claim the credit, but wanted to be sure the information made it back into the program for the benefit of all users... In file memdisk.asm, in respect of the operation of the raw and bigraw options, the order of pop instructions does not correspond to the order registers are pushed;

coreutils-4.5.3-28 causing duplication?
Here's a bit of a strange one. I hunted through the ocfs-users archives, but didn't see any mention of this, so here goes... Using coreutils 4.5.3-27 on RHAS 3, the utilities perform as expected against non-OCFS volumes: $ rpm -q coreutils coreutils-4.5.3-27 # cat a 3 line test file. Works as expected $ cat /var/tmp/file line1 line2 line3 # copy that file. Works as expected $ cp

I'm not sure if i can post this here so if I'm violating the rules mods feel free to delete this post right away, however this is something that has been bugging me so i decided it was time to create an account here and post.
