[OT] Linux Development Environment - suggestions
Hey, sorry for the off topic email, but I appreciate any feedback you guys can give me. I just put together a new box and installed Ubuntu linux on it. I''m coming from a totally windows environment, so I''m having some trouble getting my head around the linux file system and where things "should" go. I am trying to create a nice development environment for myself

Problems with Speex Resamplers
Colin, If you're using stereo audio with the resampler, there is a bug that can occur under certain situations (and maybe that's what's been happening to you). Check out: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/speex-dev/2009-August/007406.html With that patch, I've used the resampler extensively in many situations without any problems. New Doc Status
I know it''s been a few weeks since Nick asked me to work on new wxRuby document output from the xml file in the wxruby-swig source tree. So I''m updating the list so you know that it is underway. A new wxRuby API is coming!! I have the parsing complete, and I am trying to make this be most-beneficial to the wxRuby community. Perhaps someone reading this may have an

Ferret Wiki Spam - Solutions Anyone?
Hi All, As some of you may have noticed, the Ferret Wiki has been getting spammed like crazy. And I haven''t been able to do anything about it because I just don''t have the time. I''m getting pretty close to releasing 0.10.0 which has been the major draw on my time for the last couple of months so I''m going to have some time to look into this soon. I was

Wiki external links
Hi, I am personally not that fond of the little globe that precedes all the external links in the Wiki. Often it disturbs in the reading of a paragraph and whether a links is external or internal should not matter to the user at all. I even wonder how many newbies understand why the icon is shown at all. -- -- dag wieers, dag at wieers.com, http://dag.wieers.com/ -- [Any errors in

Trac error
I just tried browsing to: http://dev.rubyonrails.org/browser/trunk/actionpack/lib/action_view/helpers/asset_tag_helper.rb and got a Trac internal error. It looks to be this issue: http://trac.edgewall.org/ticket/5123 Could somebody upgrade the SilverCity package, if that is indeed the problem? Cheers, Brad --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Core" group. To post to this gr...

Dynamic Filters with AJAX (like Redmine/Trac)
Hello Guys, I have a model "Person" with lots of columns (date, int, string, so on) and right now I need to make a filter for my costumer. My goal is something like this: http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/issues. Or, even better: http://trac.edgewall.org/demo-0.12/query. The most interesting feature for me is to be able to choose different columns and to have customized options (LIKE or NOT LIKE for strings, BETWEEN .. and .. for dates, and so on) Unfortunately, Redmine only allows 1 criteria per database column. Trac, on the other hand, acce...

New Year Wish List
Congrats to all those who have contributed to R over the past year. As with last year, for New Year I would like to list the top 10 features I would like to see in R. The first three are the most important. 1. Scripting With this feature it would be possible to call R like this as a filter: R -f myprog.R infile1.txt infile2.txt > outfile.txt or prog1 | R -f myprog.R | prog2

R CMD check warning about compiler warning flags
...ago. In researching other SVN clients, the few that still seem to be actively maintained are typically dedicated desktop clients/GUIs, that in some cases are closed source and/or are OS specific. One of the few web based SVN clients that still seems to be actively maintained is Trac (https://trac.edgewall.org), however it is under a modified BSD license, which may raise some issues and from what I can tell, may be more complicated in terms of set up, since it also supports bug tracking, wiki and other functionality. As with any such application, there would be ongoing maintenance issues as well. I...
