red hat linux8.0 to windows communication
...my linux machine. Can u please tell me how can i contact windows machine from linux and view files and copy that into linux? Do i have to install samba client for windows 2000?? if so, can u please tell me where can i get that and what to be done for installing the same. Pls help me in this regard. Ecpecting u'r reply ASAP. I am very new for samba. can you plz give step by step information. from my windows machine I want to execute postgresql which is on linux machine. what will be the best solution. ..., and I still miss some inputs. If someone could explain me the exact ruleset of when we want to use strip that would be helpfull. For now we almost do not strip, but it should be easy to add. I also expect a few bugs to shw up. Once I asked why the shared versions did not work, and they appaer to ecpect klibc#hash#.so i /lib - which is generally not the case. I have not found a way to tell the shared versions to look elsewhere. Maybe you can assist with this info? Fell free to give me _any_ feedback. That will allow me to improve the kbuild integraton. Disconnected gluster node things it is still connected...
...ree nodes: node1, node2, node3. Volumes are all replica 2, across all three nodes. As a test we disconnected node1, buy removing the vlan tag for that host on the switch it is connected to. As a result node2 and node3 now show node1 in disconnected status, and show the volumes as degraded. This is ecpected. However logging in to node1 (via the ilo, as there is no network) showed that this node still though it was connected to node2 and node3, even though it could no longer communicate with it. Also it did keep its bricks up... This is not as expected. What I expected is that node1 detects it is...
