NUT v2.8.2, the Easter Egg Edition
A hiccup was reported about validating the tarball signature on some
systems, so it was reissued from another workstation. Please don't worry :)

Do you mean the signature was re-issued, which is ok, or that the
tarball was re-issued, which is very much not ok(!) ?

NUT v2.8.2, the Easter Egg Edition
Hello all,
After a prolonged labour with a few re-issues of the tag and many pushes
during the day, NUT v2.8.2 was found in a strange egg by a bunny hopping
away from the April fools. All that - blessed under the shine of Polar
lights in the middle of the icy North Ocean.
A python module was released but slipped away with an earlier commit.
Other artifacts should follow shortly.

Question about as.numeric with tclvalue
...h asks
for lower and upper limit to evaluate.
Typically, I use:
assign("a",as.numeric(tclvalue(lowlim)),envir=.GlobalEnv)
and that's fine.
However, if I try to use pi or Inf or -Inf, I get either coerced NAs or NaN.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please?
Thanks,
Erin

mkntpasswd
Hi!
I am currently follwoing this howto:
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/guide/happy.html#ch6-nss02
and i am stuck with:
(..)You must compile the mkntpasswd tool and then install it into the
/var/lib/samba/sbin directory, as shown here(...)
Where can i get the mkntpasswd sources from? Or is there a rpm package for
it?
Thanks, Mario

How do I get 10^4 to become 10000?
Of course, that's as trivial as it gets on the command line, but I
can't work out how to get a column of numbers that are entered as
"10^5" from its 'character' format into a numeric one?
I feel a bit embarrassed asking such a simple question. Too much
Easter....
Thanks

Bank holidays read from file?
Hi. in my home office i operate my asterisk and have an IVR that has the
business hours 9-5 and everytime i edit it to load the bank holidays (New
Years eve, christmas, easter, whatever else). I would like to be able to
load in the Asterisk's DB or in a file for all the year or years the
planned holidays. Then it will be read from that file to operate
accordingly.
Is there a hint on how to run something like that?
I am running asterisk 11.

How to do platform independent system calls?
Dear R experts,
I hope everyone has had a happy easter break.
Recently my work included writing R function that need to call external tools.
I did this using R's system function for example:
system( paste( 'tool', '-input', path_to_input, '-output',
path_to_output, '-other_switch', some_val ) )
I have two question...

Problem joining an AD
...php/Main_Page
Well, I got it!
I found this HowTo:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_Samba_as_an_AD_Domain_Member
and now it works!
I'm puzzled why on other Servers the previous configuration works, but if I
have now this Server, too, with a working Samba I'm happy and can look for
easter eggs... :D
Just another question: can someone explain me why the Windows-PCs did not
execute the Logon-Scripts?
On the DC I have this:
domain logons = yes
logon script = logon.cmd
[netlogon]
path = /var/lib/samba/sysvol/cch.intra/scripts
read only = No
[sysvol]
path = /v...
