keytab-lilo is just a Perl script invoking the "loadkeys" program.
Generic example (as root):
# keytab-lilo.pl /path/to/us.kmap.gz /path/to/dvorak.kmap.gz >
/path/to/dvorak.ktl
or:
# keytab-lilo.pl /path/to/us.map.gz /path/to/dvorak.map.gz >
/path/to/dvorak.ktl
or:
# keytab-lilo.pl /path/to/us.map /path/to/dvorak.map >
/path/to/dvorak.ktl
Then copy the resulting "dvorak.ktl" file to "/boot/syslinux/" (or to...

Portforwarding using the control master.
...bering that master-%r@%h:%p
allows forwarding to ports from that machine is easier then keeping
track of all the different ports.
To be actually able to use it (since SSHMUX is an openssh only thing
as far as I can tell). I'll write a patch to socat as well.
Any comments?

OT: Please comment on Dvorak's troll
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1812887,00.asp
Specifically, his assertion that ISP's would sniff traffic and block, say,
the SIP port. You could play wack-a-mole with port numbers, no?
Also a community based, Freenet style of encryption implementation for
"free" VoIP traffic would address this issue.
I raise this to the list because I'm sure there's a grain of

Weird Keys in Counterstrike
Hi,
I have just compiled wine-20011108 for my Mandrake 8.1 box, installed
Half-Life, patched it to 1.1.0.8, installed csv13full.exe. I then tried to
connect to a local LAN server however all the keys are all real weird. I ran
my standard win98se config file, it worked OK. By weird I mean that
normally when I move the mouse my player looks around but under wine he
starts a slow slide across

Can someone explain how samba handles permissions?
...ns very well, so I'm not sure if the following is a
problem or considered normal.
I have a directory called sigmaproj on my samba server; ls -la gives
the following information:
14 drwxrwxrwx 31 bkelly users 6656 Sep 17 16:12 sigmaproj
in this directory is a file:
2 -rw-r--r-- 1 dvorak users 253 Jul 3 17:57 sigma.log
As I understand it, any user should be able to delete the file sigma.log
via a samba connection. The Unix file system should allow the file to
be
deleted because all users have write privileges on the sigmaproj
directory.
If I understand windows permissi...

How do I switch the keyboard layout?
Hello there. I'm trying to switch the keyboard layout for a wine application to a nonsystem standard.
Background: system standard is dvorak, but that horribly conflicts with the AWSD movement control of games.
Stuff I tried and failed:
* switching the layout in the GNOME panel keyboard layout switcher
* rewriting the xorg.conf for english as standard language
* loading us layout with loadkey on the console
* using env LANG="en_US...

compression and encryption
...or something like that.
Obviously, rsync could also be amended with built-in encryption. Less
general solution, but worth considering, too.
Any thoughts or opinions? Any existing work that I should be aware of?
Would a patch in some of the directions outlined above be accepted?
Thanks,
Vaclav Dvorak

No reports in foreman
Dear all
I am trying to set up reports in foreman, but foreman tells me to configure
it.
What am I doing wrong?
I have on the puppet master:
/var/lib/puppet/reports/foreman.rb
with $foreman_url=http://rh6-puppet-master
Do I need the port?
/etc/puppet/puppet.conf with in [main] reports = log, foreman
I restarted the service service puppetmaster restart
in /var/log/messages I find: No

TAG-mess
...do it manually. (Heh, not that anybody would care, but
this all is theoretical anyways.)
Back to standard tags. They should be universally applicable (in
theory), and [classic|rock|pop|techno|...] specific tags are not.
Customize your own, that's why you can do it.
I recently encoded Antonin Dvorak's 8th and 9th symphonies ... even
"TITLE" sucks there, I agree. My titles are currently "Adagio",
"Allegretto Grazioso - Molto Vivace", etc. That's bullshit, because
that's "Symphony No. 8" all the time, but I had to distinguish them
somehow. I ma...

Pagination
Hello,
maybe that I''m a stupid, but I don''t know how I can working with
pagination. In all examples is written (for example) next:
def user_list
@user_pages, @users = paginate(:users, :order_by => ''name'')
end
So, it''s OK (as a scaffold) for all set of users. But I need a little
other functionality. For example I need paginate only a little bit
