show queue ... Invalid
...works OK. But, after restaring I see in show queue that
Members:
SIP/1070@peername (Invalid) ...
What does it mean? Why is it Invalid? BTW, reload command fixes it, so
the member receives queue calls.

ipw can not work in adhoc mode
See atttachment.
I have already submit this bug via "report a bug" in Nov last year, but
no reply, and the problem still exist in stable-6 now.
Any one who knows how to solve this problem ?

Pickup problem
Hi,
when i use the *8 for the call pickup the call i fetch is directly
connected and i can't see the callers number.
What i want is that the call in the first rings at my phone and in the
second i can see the callers number.
I am using a polycom 500 ip phone. Is this a special polycom problem?

Asterisk 1.2.9 cli "-x" doesn't flush?
We have a script which executes "asterisk -n -r -x ....." periodically
against the running server, to check the status of a few things, and
pipe the output to a file.
With prior versions of Asterisk this worked fine, but having just
upgraded to 1.2.9, we are finding that if the output is lengthy, then
Asterisk seems to terminate before fully flushing stdout.
Is this a known bug, is

Hi,
I was made aware of puppet a few weeks ago and I really like the way
things are working.
What I liked at cfengine was the capability to push content from the
central server to any node. There was no need to open a port from DMZ or
any other remote system to the central server.
Is there a similar way within puppet?

And i am looking for a solution to collect the hostnames and ipaddresses
of all connected nodes, without using a stored config like an database
or ldap. I need this values for some templates. For example the config
of dsh (distributed shell), rsnapshot or the "/etc/hosts" including all
hosts.

question on managing multiple boxes
How do admins handle a situation with many boxes like 50 for example.
If I wish to tell 50 boxes to run a handful of commands - how is that done?
(I mean without actually logging into 1,2,3,4...X and executing the
commands)

How could I ask a user to confirm specific form input?

We have an ocfs2 1.6 via drbd dual master.
drbd0 -> sda7 (node1)
drbd0 -> sda7 (node2)
ocfs2 1.6 2.6.38-2-amd64 kernel panic when unmount.
when unmount drbd0 on both node around the same time using dsh.
umount -v /dev/drbd0
the umount process hangs for a while, 30mins or so
pts/0 D+ 20:50 0:00 umount /dev/drbd0 -vvvvv
Then, one of the node kernel panics

OpenSSH and passphrase query
I would like to propose to the developers to have OpenSSH, upon return
of the passphrase query, to have the hostname of the system it was
running on appear before the passphrase query. This would help those
that use IBMs dsh command, as it is a parallel command, the output of
which is from any system not in any particular order. By adding this in
would help to know what system it is coming from.

We have run into an issue where the rsync daemon socket listen queue (accept
queue) is filling before it is able to accept() the incoming connection
requests. It appears that the rsync source code currently hard codes this
limit to 5.
On our deployment, we push our changes via dsh and sync to hundreds of servers
for Wikipedia in as fast a manner as possible. This is causing the systems to
back up in the listen backlog and failing multiple servers as they eventually
time out, being ignored by the rsync server in question. The socket.c source
shows this hard limit (presently...

Logging levels and browser elections
...currently there is a Windows 3.11 box, two Windows 98 boxes, and an NT
Workstation (not server) box, in addition to the two Linux boxes with
Samba. Everything is on one IP net (10.x.x.x; in fact all assigned IPs
are in 10.0.0.x). The wiring includes a compex 8-port dual speed
switch, and a d-link dsh-8 dual speed "hub with switch", which makes
me just *slightly* suspicious about broadcast propagation; though I
can't find any obvious patter to what doesn't get found.
