Knights of the Old Republic - White Polygons
I'm sure this has been asked before quite a few years ago and in great quantity, but I've been searching threads on various sites for a few hours now, and can't seem to find a fix. Anywho, I have KOTOR installed, and it runs in fullscreen and all that, however, all my polygons are white, as in, there is no textures. All the text within the game is also just blue boxes. This obviously

swap control
...nd nouveau) ? I googled it but did not find any clear answers about how it is supposed to be enabled. I also tried to read the code, and I am getting lost. So I didn't find any answers to any of these questions : 1) how are we supposed to enable it ? is there an env var , or ~/.drirc ? is drirc/driconf still valid with dri2 ? 2) is it supported by mesa/gallium ? and nouveau ? It looks like there were some related changes with dri2.2 but that might not concern SGI/MESA swap_control extensions. http://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-devel/2009-October/003209.html Anyway when running progs/xdemos/glxswa...

Monkey Island 2: Special Edition from Steam
...n Monkey Island 2: Special Edition downloaded from Steam. It actually sort of works. It installed just fine. When I first ran it gave me a blank screen and that was it. Per the comments on the app page (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=20722), I installed and ran driconf and selected the enable ST3C option. Note: I haven't done the part with compiling or installing "libtxc_dxtn.so" yet. After I enabled the driconf option, the game started, showed the initial LucasArts logo, had a flickering screen (one time this actually showed Guybrush tapping his...

[WIP PATCH] dri/nouveau: Add S3TC support for nv20.
...;s s3tc-teximage, s3tc-texsubimage and fbo-generatemipmap-formats(s3tc tests) and even Wolfenstein:Enemy-Territory works on my nv25. It's based on Ben's newlib branch. I have few issues though: 1) So far it needs libtxc_dxtn, but I might expose the s3tc extensions even without encoder using driconf option - Is that desirable? 2) Looking at blob's dedma'd valgrind-mmt dumps it seems blob uses pitch no smaller than 64 in miptree, but for me everything works as it is. Does it make any difference? 2) I am not sure about computing the offsets in teximage_map - it works like this, but...
