[PATCH 2/5] drm/nv10/plane: add downscaling restrictions
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- Copied from the (disabled) overlay code in xf86-video-nouveau. I verified that my nv34 indeed doesn't scale down by more than 2, didn't test the factor of 8. drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/dispnv04/overlay.c | 10 +++++++++- 1 file changed, 9 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/dispnv04/overlay.c

How to make nice tiny sized figures on graphic devices producing scalable vector output?
Hello! Usually whenever I want a tiny plot, I just create it as is (or even large) and then downscale it in the end application like LaTeX of MS Word. However, all these graphic devices like postscript, pdf, win.metafile retain physical sizes, so it would be natural if I can just insert graphics as is provided those have proper physical sizes embedded. The question is what is the best

Actually even if you had an SVG source it would be best to simplify the drawing before downscaling it, see [1] for example. Of course having the SVG without an artist is already better than having none of them :). [1] http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Icon_Theme_Guidelines#Sizes -- Felipe.

doubt in climate variability analysis in R!
Hello all, I am trying to use "clim.pact" package for my work, but since this is the beginning for me to use gridded datasets in "R", I am having some trouble. I want to do seasonal analyses like trends, anomalies, variograms, EOF and probably kriging too to downscale my 1 degree gridded data to 0.5.  So, as a first step, I compiled my entire dataset (with 25

expand gridded matrix to higher resolution
Hi all, (if me email goes out as html, than my email client don't do as told, and I apologies already.) We need to downscale climate data and therefore first need to expand the climate from 0.5deg to the higher resolution 10min, before we can add high resolution deviations. We basically need to have the original data at each gridcell replicated into 3x3 gridcells. A simple for loop can do

Wideband (G722) MeetMe
...on this thread about WB support on the MeetMe bridge that is in 1.6.2. Does it only work for G722 or any WB codec ? I am working with another 16k WB codec that I can transcode to 722 and vice versa. I was curious if the 1.6.2 MeetMe bridge can also mix 722 with any other WB codec natively(without downscaling). Thanks, Serhad Doken ------------------> Razza wrote: If so, i've also read that Joshua Colp was/is working on a replacement (conf_bridge?) that works with G722. Attachment_fu ImageScience FreeImage thumbnail quality
I''ve tried migrating acts_as_attachment to attachment_fu (just to see if I could replace RMagick with ImageScience+FreeImage), but the quality of the thumbnails is just horrendous, blurred beyond recognition (downscaling a 1280x1024 to a few considerably smaller thumbnails). Changing attachment_fu to use RMagick again and the thumbnails were crispy sharp again. I was wondering if this has anything to do with ImageScience or if it''s rather just FreeImage not using a good scaling algorithm. Best reg...

hclust graphics - plotting many points
...tsize=5) plot(my_hc_object) dev.off() What happens is that since most of the items in the matrix have a distance of zero to something everything just becomes a black smear on the bottom where I cannot distinguish anything from anything else. I thus tried increasing the heigth and/or width and also downscaling the pointsize. None of these improved anything much. So, now I am wondering if any of you have any tips for how I can get something like I get in the x11() window which I can also store and potentially show other people. Thanks! I'm not an artist, so the simplifying is not so easy for me, but its true that that is the really hard part. So I did two full-scale sketches with different texts. http...

You probably ought to be using the raster package. See the CRAN Spatial Task View. -- Sent from my phone. Please excuse my brevity. Hello. I seem to be to stupid to configure vcpu hotplugging on one of my machines. Whenever i set: <vcpu placement='static' current='4'>4</vcpu> and save this setting, this setting is undone by libvirt. It jumps back to: <vcpu placement='static'>4</vcpu> I'm confused now. Someone has an idea what's going on here? Any hints are really

Hi All, I'm happy to announce that Apple has agreed to let llvm.org (and anyone else) use the great LLVM logo they designed for WWDC. If you're interested, you can see the full version of the logo on this page: http://llvm.org/Logo.html I personally think that this is a pretty great logo/mascot for LLVM, because it is very abstract, can be adapted in a variety of ways, is

Bit pealing and streaming
Hi: Since I'm not a programmer and just want to get stuff worked out properly in my head, I'm posting this here. I just want to be sure I have all the concepts regarding vorbis and high sampling rates at low bit rates all sorted out. Note that this will involve questions, some of which I've been looking for answers to for some time. The way I understand things is that vorbis is
