[PATCH 2/5] drm/nv10/plane: add downscaling restrictions
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- Copied from the (disabled) overlay code in xf86-video-nouveau. I verified that my nv34 indeed doesn't scale down by more than 2, didn't test the factor of 8. drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/dispnv04/overlay.c | 10 +++++++++- 1 file changed, 9 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/dispnv04/overlay.c

How to make nice tiny sized figures on graphic devices producing scalable vector output?
Hello! Usually whenever I want a tiny plot, I just create it as is (or even large) and then downscale it in the end application like LaTeX of MS Word. However, all these graphic devices like postscript, pdf, win.metafile retain physical sizes, so it would be natural if I can just insert graphics as is provided those have proper physical sizes embedded. The question is what is the best method to...

Also, downscaling in case of degrading bandwith? Akos ---

doubt in climate variability analysis in R!
Hello all, I am trying to use "clim.pact" package for my work, but since this is the beginning for me to use gridded datasets in "R", I am having some trouble. I want to do seasonal analyses like trends, anomalies, variograms, EOF and probably kriging too to downscale my 1 degree gridded data to 0.5.  So, as a first step, I compiled my entire dataset (with 25 yeears of daily dataset which were present as 25 files) into a single netcdf file. Then, I downloaded clim.pact to do further analysis, which works but seems to change dataset's original dimensi...

expand gridded matrix to higher resolution
Hi all, (if me email goes out as html, than my email client don't do as told, and I apologies already.) We need to downscale climate data and therefore first need to expand the climate from 0.5deg to the higher resolution 10min, before we can add high resolution deviations. We basically need to have the original data at each gridcell replicated into 3x3 gridcells. A simple for loop can do this, but I could need a faster...

Wideband (G722) MeetMe
Hi, I wanted to follow up on this thread about WB support on the MeetMe bridge that is in 1.6.2. Does it only work for G722 or any WB codec ? I am working with another 16k WB codec that I can transcode to 722 and vice versa. I was curious if the 1.6.2 MeetMe bridge can also mix 722 with any other WB codec natively(without downscaling). Thanks, Serhad Doken ------------------> Razza wrote:

Attachment_fu ImageScience FreeImage thumbnail quality
I''ve tried migrating acts_as_attachment to attachment_fu (just to see if I could replace RMagick with ImageScience+FreeImage), but the quality of the thumbnails is just horrendous, blurred beyond recognition (downscaling a 1280x1024 to a few considerably smaller thumbnails). Changing attachment_fu to use RMagick again and the thumbnails were crispy sharp again. I was wondering

hclust graphics - plotting many points
Hello. I have a distance matrix with lots of distances that I use hclust to organise. I then plot the results using the plot method of hclust. However, the plot itself takes around 20 mins to make due to there being ~700 things in the matrix that I have distances for. I thus would like to dump this to some graphics format which will let me examine this further. I tried dumping it to postscript:

Hello. I seem to be to stupid to configure vcpu hotplugging on one of my machines. Whenever i set: <vcpu placement='static' current='4'>4</vcpu> and save this setting, this setting is undone by libvirt. It jumps back to: <vcpu placement='static'>4</vcpu> I'm confused now. Someone has an idea what's going on here? Any hints are really

using speex to connect to asterisk
Hi, I'm trying to use speex codec in iax client to connect to asterisk (all last version) It seems that when I use speex_encoder_init(speex_lib_get_mode(SPEEX_MODEID_WB)) Instead of speex_encoder_init(speex_lib_get_mode(SPEEX_MODEID_NB)) Asterisk try to downscale the codec to ulaw. [LLVMdev] LLVM Logo
Hi All, I'm happy to announce that Apple has agreed to let llvm.org (and anyone else) use the great LLVM logo they designed for WWDC. If you're interested, you can see the full version of the logo on this page: http://llvm.org/Logo.html I personally think that this is a pretty great logo/mascot for LLVM, because it is very abstract, can be adapted in a variety of ways, is

Bit pealing and streaming
...ercome pretty much all that MP3 does not let us do. The only thing then that I'd want to lobby for is for all the players to cope with a change in data rate, that being where one broadcaster switches over to another. This might not affect people listening at low bit rates, as the server would downscale anyway, but say a modem broadcaster handed over to a broadband user,. This would result in a change in data rate for any other cable listeners. MP3 does not cope well with this at all, and I'd like to see vorbis address this issue if this is at all possible. Keep up the great work! Geoff....
