Voice Recognition
Has anyone out there had any success with any type of voice
recognition? I would LOVE to see something work within Asterisk. I
have tried for days and can't seem to get this right. Is it even
possible? I have read everything I can find, but it's like the sphinx
integration/documentation was dropped because of lack of interest. I
tried this with Sphinx-2 because it contained the

USB ups on solaris
Hi,
I have been asked to install NUT on a Solaris 9 system. The UPS is an APC
Back UPS RS 1500 (link below) with an USB connection. From reading the
FAQ, it looks like the proper driver would be newhidups, but there is
some development work required to map between the Solaris USB hid and
the newhidups. Is that correct, or am I overlooking something simpler?

Referrals/Success Stories would be greatly appreciated
...pretty confident that I should be able to squash most of the
problems that come up with the help of Google. If anyone would be so
kind as to post success stories, or even potential problems we should
look out for, I would greatly appreciate it.

Distinctive Ring Tones
This is an Australian situation.
I have a PSTN connection that has CLID presentation enabled and has two
numbers assigned to it, the primary number with the standard ring
cadence: 400,200,400,2000 and the secondary number with the alternative
cadence: 200,400,200,400,200,1600
CLID presentation is working fine and in zapata.conf I have:
usecallerid = yes
usedistinctiveringdetection = yes

Roaming Profiles for Domain USERS not saved with XP Client.
Okay, I don't have much hair left and I am ready to pull it out. I am
running samba 2.2.7a as a PDC for Windows XP clients. Everything works fine
for DOMAIN users who are in the administrators group on the XP workstation.
My problem is if users are in the Power Users or Users group on the XP
client, then when the log out changes to their profiles are not saved back
to the server.

Does anyone know anything about this "0-day" ssh vulnerability?
Hi all. I've looked at the archives and it seems to be quiet regarding
this supposed "0-day" openssh vulnerability and I'm wondering if anyone
here may have some insight or further information regarding it.
We've been monitoring things and the amount of speculative info flying
around is incredible. Some claim it's the CPNI-957037 issue, thus
affecting <5.2, others

Announce: OpenSSH 4.4 released
...der.eu
Changes since OpenSSH 4.3:
============================
Security bugs resolved in this release:
* Fix a pre-authentication denial of service found by Tavis Ormandy,
that would cause sshd(8) to spin until the login grace time
expired.
* Fix an unsafe signal hander reported by Mark Dowd. The signal
handler was vulnerable to a race condition that could be exploited
to perform a pre-authentication denial of service. On portable
OpenSSH, this vulnerability could theoretically lead to
pre-authentication remote code execution if GSSAPI authentication
is enabled, but the...
