DOH! RE: R 2.1.0 for Windows installation error? atanh not in R.dll?
I'm sorry to waste bandwidth. I re-read the console message for the tenth time and finally noticed R was looking in rw2001pat for libraries. Looking at my Env vars I see I set R_LIBS to look there. Changed R_LIBS, fixed problem. DOH! So now if I want to use several versions of R simultaneously, what do I do. I set R_LIBS so it would look also in C:/R/extra for some added packages. Thanks and sorry again, David -----Original Message----- From: David Reiner <davidr at rhotrading.com> Sent: Thursday, April 21, 2005 9:40...

doh! chan_dahdi.conf
For those who don't know, (as I just figured out by reading the sourcecode), that all settings for a particular "channels" must be placed before the channel => entry. Ie, Immediate=no Channel=>1-24 Immediate=yes Channel=>25-48 Immediate=no Channel=>49-72 1-24 will have immediate set to no, 25-48 yes, 49-72 no Maybe someday the config will be

I have read and reread both the official documentation and various guides around the net I am unsure where to go now. If the UPS itself is at fault (not

"Doh!", or: The Sync'ing Feeling I Get With Recursion
This message describes (imho) a behaviour bug in rsync. I'm going to submit a patch, but before I dive into the code I want to know what the actual desired behaviour should be. In other words, please comment. I have some directories I want to keep synchronised between two machines (call them "master" and "backup"). Every now and then someone deletes a file on

Best Partitioning Tool?
Hi All, which is the best tool for partitioning, as I forgot to bring in my copy of PartitionMagic(DOH!!) and need to resize an NTFS partition today. I'm using XP Pro at the moment. I wish to resize a 38GB partition, primary, to 20GB and use the rest for a Linux Install(CentOS 4-3). Cheers. Mark Sargent. P.S. Setting caller-id when parking call
...o answer the call (these are the receptionists). I've tried to make an extention that I can transfer to that will set the caller-id, and that works, but I'm having issues. For instance.... if I do a blind transfer to an extention the CALLER hears '71' instead of the receptionist.. DOH! That didn't work. If I do an attenteded transfer, then the caller-id gets set, but when the person hangs up, it gets unset. DOH! That didn't work either.... now what? :)

Robust Search Solution (with CentOS 4.3)
I've got about 10,000 docs I'd like to devise a search/index for. I found a perl script called Perlfect that can do that on an old P3 but at the astronomical time of 7 hours. Another script(cgi/perl) at hotscripts can do the same but allows the "rm -rf /" exploit. DoH!? Is there anything perl/flatfile that can search/index faster? This is a nice job for an aging P3 in the corner so php/MySQL is not an option. Don't suggest beagle/windows solutions as this is a CentOS 4.3 system. __________________________________________________ Improve the mailing list...

Calendar date picker for use with rails.
Howdy folks, As I was putting together a rough form for a rails app, I got to thinking how much smoother (in my siytuation) a little calendar widget would be than the default date picker selects. Does anyone know if such a thing exists ? I suspect it would have to be somewhat designed with rails in mind to populate the right kind of post params for convenient use at the controller end.

shaping by packet count rather than bytes ?
In wireless networks it can be handy to shape by packet rate rather than bytes/s (because capacity is packet-rate-limited). Has anyone done any work on packet-rate shaping ? Thanks.

I''m having a particularly difficult time undersanding one lesson from this book. This is in relation ot how one would grab "search" parameters from web forms to search for records in the database. I understand the :conditions part of find() but am confused on the code: 1- name = params[:name] pos = Order.find(:all, :conditions => ["name = ? and pay_type =
