RCurl FTPUpload
...the RCurl package with R 2.8.1, and when I try to use the function
FTPUpload, it uploads the file but does not stop.
It repeats the content of the file without stopping and the destination file
keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Here is the line that I use :
ftpUpload("C:/Users/herve/Documents/Document1.txt", "sftp://
xxxx.dedibox.fr/home/herve/Document1.txt", userpwd = "herve:xxxxxx")
Any idea why it does not work ?
Cordially,
Hervé

Cups print jobnames became SMB jobname not doc name
Since upgrading to Fedora Core 3 the jobname for the files being printed to
our PDF CUPS backend have become the Samba jobname as in
"SMBPRN.888009.hjdcl" instead of the application filename such as "Microsoft
Word - Document1.DOC". This stops us from providing a properly-named PDF
file to our users.
Our other server that is still on Core 1 does not have this problem. I've
seen other mentions of this problem going back several years but no
definitive answer.
Can anyone advise what action to take?
Thanks,...

[Fwd: Weft - a free open-source QDA tool]
Hi
Just released a first version of the WxRuby project I''ve been working
on. Firstly, I wanted to say thanks to everyone on this list who''s
helped at various points over the past year - every time I ran into a
problem someone jumped in with advice.
A very brief explanation of the app - I''m a sociologist/anthropologist
by trade, and the app is intended for use in

reading in a tricky computer program output
Hi R user
I need to read in some values from a computer program output.
I can't change the output format because the developer of the program
doesn't allow to change the format of output.
There are two formats.
First one looks like this
if I have 10 variables,

.../lists.samba.org/pipermail/samba/
I recently upgraded to samba 2.2.0 on my linux 2.2.14 printer server. On my
old version on samba, the spool names seen both from what you get with an
lpq command and also what you see in windows seemed to be determined by the
application printing. MicrosoftWord-Document1 for example. Now, samba is
naming all the spool files smbprn.1, smbprn.2... I've looked around
everywhere, but I can't seem to find an answer. Any ideas?
