Cisco 3620 PRI and Asterisk
Hi All: I have a Cisco3620 with a proper T1/PRI card installed with asterisk running on the same LAN. Since I have lit up the line, I can dial out and make calls to regular lands lines. However when a call comes back in it rings the destination phone once and disconnects. Here is an error from my router 15:40:45: ISDN Se1/0:23 SERROR: L3_GetUser_NLCB: EVENT 0X45 No NLCB 2 15:40:45: ISDN

Best ATA for general residential deployment??
I read the thread about what IP phone is best for business deployment with great interest. Our need is slightly different however. We are deploying VoiP as a value-add with our high speed internet service and are having trouble finding the right SIP analog terminal adapter. In order to support people's existing phones and wiring we need to use an ATA. 1) The first priority is we want

Vonage locked Motorola VT-1000s
I have a small pile of them from customers who were too lazy to send them back after switching to our local voice service... Is there any hope of ever using these things with Asterisk? Vonage does not want them back and they won't unlock them either. A terrible shame! Should I just toss them? Steve

why a perfectly fine iax2 host becomes UNREA CHABLE?
...on-critical? Yes. 2K inbound / outbound calls a day to 30 remote locations, aggregated to 2 PRI's tied together with IAX2. All with IP address specified rather than hostname. All with Asterisk 1.0.9. All with 99.9% completion rate, and it would be 99.999% if we weren't using consumer grade DOCSIS cable modems in the remote locations. It is quite possible to make a nice Asterisk install if you are conservative in your approach, and upgrading to CVS-HEAD (or whatever it's called these days) every night is *not* the way to do it (I'm sure you aren't doing that, but my point is that...

Spotty internet connection
...ch gave me the public IP so I can't ssh to home > from work anymore, so I am wondering > how you do it? for Comcast/Xfinity, I'm using a Arris SB6183 that I got at Costco. this is a simple modem/bridge, so /my/ router behind it gets the public IP. I have a spare SB6121, which is DOCSIS 3.0 up to about 130Mbps max (my current internet is around 180Mbps). I'd sell this for $30 + S&H, contact me off list. -- john r pierce, recycling bits in santa cruz

Optimum online-upload throttling confirmed.
Hello All, I was recently fighting with an optimum online connection in NY. I finally got in touch with someone that confirmed they are throttling my upload connection. I just wanted to make everyone aware of it, so if you have problems if your ping times jump erratically, this could be the cause. Their suggestions were, although you can upload a lot, do not do it constantly. They do not want

UNREACHABLE peer
I wasn't able to get much out of babytel, beyond the fact that I was, apparently, sending options which is why I'm not getting 200 OK. How can I, generally speaking, ping/telnet or otherwise test the connection to get more data? A connection to this peer directly from a softphone, Jitsi, works fine. linux-k7qk*CLI> linux-k7qk*CLI> sip show peer testcarrier * Name :

IEEE 802.1x capable sip phones
Does anyone know if sip phones from any of the major IP phone vendors support 802.1x authentication? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Tired of dropouts and garbled phone calls - where to go next?
All, The users in our organization are well, quite frankly, sick of phone service that is being provided. The choppy phone calls, and drop outs are detrimental to our sales force. I've tried about everything I can think of. Moved the asterisk server from VM machine to dedicated machine More than enough bandwidth Setting 802.1p = 7 Set Dedicated voice traffic 35% of bandwidth. Not sure

Should I choose DSL @ 1.5 or a full T1?
I'm looking to expand my bandwidth for my Asterisk PBX. Why should I choose a T1 over DSL for my asterisk server? I found someone offering T1's for $290 a month + Loops or 3 Meg for $561 a month + Loops. Is this a good deal? Thanks Bart -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... html special char conversion
I''ve stucked to such problem: I have html entities in database, after using scaffold I''ve got these chars not converted (I have strictly " and & in page source). It is what I need, but after making ./script/generate scaffold modelname controllername (recreating controller) I''ve got all special chars converted into entities like (&quot and others). How can
