Xen and Linux on Intel G33 needs kernel 2.6.19+
Dear, I''m looking to get Xen running on a system that (afterwards) seems a bit too new. The board has the Intel G33 chipset with the Intel ICH9 southbridge. This chipset is NOT supported by kernel 2.6.18 which ships with Xen 3.1.2 (and Debian Etch). So the question is: * What version of Xen to install to get going? Should I choose unstable? * What distribution will be the easiest to get

Exporting a PCI Device
Hi All, just a quick question I could not figure out. Is there a way to export a PCI device to multiple VMs (para) keeping it available to dom0? Xen version is 3.0.4. DomU 2TB vbd limit?
Hi everyone, Just a quick question: Is there a limit on the vbd size for pv guest domains, I''ve found only rumors on the Internet about a 2TB limit, but from my experience with xen-3.0.3 /linux-kernel-2.6.18-5 (installed from a debian etch packages) I can say that a lvm volume of 3.7TB as created and formated in Dom0 is seen as 1.85TB only of course reporting a corrupted xfs filesystem

3.2.1 HVM network packets dropped
Dear, I''ve attempted to upgrade a Xen box from 3.1.2 to 3.2.1. Unfortunately it has been a partial success only. At this point I''m really stuck with a network problem that affects my HVM machines (Linux PV run fine). The really odd thing is that everything seems to work properly, except that the "vif" network interfaces in dom0 seem to have only dropped TX packets for

cant start hvm because of ioemu network device.
Hello. I''m trying to set up hvm for linux or windows. I start with a very simple configuration without disks at all. but the virtual machine does boot or even "power up". If i remove the ioemu from the network device and specify type=brige or type=route everything goes fine, the boot process is starting but then I cant get network working in the guest.

NT4 in a DomU
Hi, I use Xen 3.0.3-1 on a Debian Etch with LVM to store my DomUs. I already exploit a Windows 2000 in a DomU but I can''t install a windows NT4 Server: I have a death of Blue Screen during the installation begining. Did someone test that scary NT4 DomU with success? I think NT4 need a disk driver but wich one? and how can I give it one? My last solution to test is: to convert a NT4
