Regression models w/ splines

I have encountered similar problems when trying to use smoothing
splines w/ the above examples (i.e., 'pspline' in the survival package).
I am currently using R version 1.8.1 for windows. Any help would be
greatly appreciated!

Difficult doubt about choose distances randomly in a matrix with a probability of event
I would like to build a model in R to simulate the seed dispersal by one plant.
The plant produced 5 seeds and the probability of falling inside the eight closest space was 0.8 and in the next space 0.2 and in the rest space 0:

polynomial regression and poly
When doing polynomial regression I believe it is a good idea to use the poly
function to generate orthogonal polynomials. When doing this in Splus there
is a handy function (transform.poly I think) to convert the coefficients
produced by regression with the poly function back to the original scale.
Has somebody written something similar for R ?

Setup that I was on mind is a little different, but I think your setup works
well.
In my setup the HUB is connected directly to the UPS, then the cables go to
raspberry and device.

It?s Ok?

metaMDS and envfit: Help reading output
Hello R experts,
I've used metaMDS to run NMDS on some fish abundance data, and am also working on correlating environmental data to the NMDS coordinates. I'm fairly new to metaMDS and NMDS in general, so I have what are probably some very basic questions. My fish abundance data consists of 66 sites for which up to 20 species of fish were identified and counted. I ran metaMDS on this data

Better to use a single large storage server or multiple smaller for mdbox?
I'm trying to improve the setup of our Dovecot/Exim mail servers to
handle the increasingly huge accounts (everybody thinks it's like
infinitely growing storage like gmail and stores everything forever in
their email accounts) by changing from Maildir to mdbox, and to take
advantage of offloading older emails to alternative networked storage
nodes.
The question now is whether having a

Still way tl;dnr material. Doesn't anyone have a list of the oldest
kernel version for each Centos version you could be running and still
avoid known problems?

summing columns of data frame by group
I have a data frame and one separate vector that is a grouping variable for the data frame. I would like to take all rows of the data frame belonging to each group and then sum the columns with out using a for statement.
Something like: take all rows of group 1 then apply(group1.data,1,sum), but do this without having to do it separately for each group. Any ideas? thank you.
