Please remove H.323 from Asterisk (was H.323 support is distrubuted with Asterisk (was Re: chan_oh323.so: Segmentation Fault))
Sheesh. I only joined here a few days ago and already there's a flame
war.
Look, to remove your name from the list is easy. It tells you where to
go to manage your subscription down there at the bottom.
If you want another mailing list, why not go to yahoo!! or topica and
set one up, or set one up yourself. It ain't rocket science with
mailman. Even an idiot like me has managed it.

Distribution of Commercial RPM
Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this.
Is there a location to upload paid for RPM for distrubution, ie a store
for CentOS?
Is there a discription of how to create your own RPM repository for
distrubution?
What about updates of these RPM?

[LLVMdev] Which linux distribution required the least effort to install LLVM 2.3?
Hi!
I'm a new LLVM user.
I want to start using the LLVM System v2.3. However, I don't want to spend
all my time hunting, pecking, downgrading, and/or upgrading packages to get
LLVM v2.3 running. I was wondering which Linux distrubutions(FC7, Ubuntu,
NetBSD, etc) have required the least effort out of the box to start running
LLVM v2.3.

Regarding Bivariate normal distribution.
Dear all R gurus,
My question is related to statistics rather directly to R. Suppose
(X,Y) has a bivariate normal distrubution. I want to find two values
of X and Y say x, and y respectively, such that:
P[X<x, Y<y] = 0.05
My questions are :
1. Can x and y be uniquely found?
2. If it is, how I can find them using R
Your help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks and regards,

centos 4.4 in the first place, The driver megasr .ko works fine with the
installed kernel but I cannot find on for the updated kernel, any adive would
be appreciated.

Changing the centos name on boot
I have changed most of the things, the grub, issues. Since I run a minimal,
I dont really have a gnome login screen, all text based (no GUI). The only
place I am not able to trace is the booting time screen. Please do see an
attached screenshot in this mail

Changing the centos name on boot
I am kinda getting a tweaked distrubution with CentOS, So this is kinda
rebranding. I am not trying to change the hostname, trying to change the
System OS name in the on boot screen.
I have changed the grub configuration file and it reflects in the Boot OS
selection screen, login screen. But only in the on boot screen does it not
reflect. My search led me to something called plymouth, and the

chan_h323 readme file
Hello
I am getting ready to install chan_h323. Just updated my * with the latest
code from CVS (12/08/03). I was reading the Readme file and confused.
Quoted from the README
NOTICE: Whatever you do, DO NOT USE distrubution specific installs
of Open H.323 and PWLib. In fact you should check to make sure
your distro didn't install them for you without your knowledge.

ks.test; memory problems
Hi R-help,
I am interested in comparing two vectors of data
observations to see if they come from the same distrubution (and have
settled on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to do this)..
I'd prefer to use all my data points, but computationally speaking,
this is proving to be troublesome due to the size of my vectors (the
larger of the two is about 90 million observations). I suppose I

glm poisson, method='ML' (PR#10985)
Full_Name: saraux
Version: 2.6.1
OS: Windows vista
Submission from: (NULL) (193.157.180.37)
I would like to compute a glm with a distribution of poisson, using a maximum of
likelihood method. But it seems not to work with a distribution of poisson. The
same code with another distrubution (binomial for example) works.
Here is the command I typed:

syslinux/isolinux in other languages then english
Hi i use Debian and i think that the first screen i see when trying the
Debian ISO file is ISOLINUX.
This first screen is only in english it seems.
I would like this screen to be in other languages so i can switch to my
language.
Any there and way to translate it or are any work being done to make it
translatable?

Hiding SSH Host Banner Doesnt work
Im trying to hide the ability to show my host details from OpenSSH on
GNU/Linux Debian using this method:
Add the following line to /etc/ssh/sshd_config
DebianBanner no
And restart your SSH daemon: /etc/init.d/ssh restart or service ssh restart
This doent change anything.
Another question why user cant hide SSH info as well? why it needs to be
publicly visible? (I read that only recompiling

Keeping icecast from kicking clients
I'm trying to setup Icecast so that clients can stay connected
indefinately. Basically sources will connect on occasion, but may
disconnect until they get instructions to connect again (think about a
jukebox that does not play music until something is selected. Now add in
distrubuted, thin clients and you realize why this is an important
feature).
According to the icecast authors, it is

Implementation of the PL2 weighting scheme of the DFR Framework
Hello guys.I am working on implementing the PL2 weighting scheme of the DFR
framework by Gianni Amati.
It uses the Poisson approximation of the Binomial as the probabilistic
model (P), the Laplace law of succession to calculate the after effect of
sampling or the risk gain (L) and within document frequency normalization
H2(2) (as proposed by Amati in his PHD thesis).
The formula for w(t,d) in

Does anyone work with iso-8859-1 database ?

In my html page (where the charset is iso-8859-19) my textarea
display the accentuate characters well and when the user post the form

ruby map one byte for one character ...
