distribuited ACD on many asterisk nodes
Dear All i'm planning to develop for a customer a particular implementation of Asterisk. The aim of the project is to share different users between different Asterisk inbound call center . I'm planning to have a sync for some of the QueueMemberStatus informations between all the nodes, then a particular (external) ACD algorithm will decide to transfer a parked call to the final user. I

Prototyping for basejail distribuition
Hi, I attach 2 files in this email, the first is a Makefile and the second is jail.conf. For demonstre my idea i resolved create one "Pseudo Prototyping", for test is necessary: 1 - Create dir /usr/local/basejail 2 - Copy Makefile to /usr/local/basejail 3 - Copy jail.conf to /etc 4 - The initial basejail is precompiled is distributed in CD1, for simular basejail is necessary a

winectl and DS Manager from Tibbo
Hi folks, I need to use a SW to program an ethernet-to-serial converter from Tibbo company. After running the SW installer I was able to use it clicking on its icon in the winectl window. The program is not a .exe or .com file (I do not know if it is a script language or not). It used to run quite fine on wine. But after upgrading wine (9.60) and my Linux distribuition (Mandriva 2008.1) winectl

On p-values presented in the summary of Linear Models
Dear list members I have a doubt on how p-values for t-statistics are calculated in the summary of Linear Models. Here goes an example: x <- rnorm(100,50,10) y <- rnorm(100,0,5) fit1<-lm(y~x) summary(fit1) summary(fit1)$coef[2] # b summary(fit1)$coef[4] # Std. I need something like imap cluster. Or an action in post processing imap mail read. I can't use distribuited file system. Win95 on a Samba3+LDAP domain on a Debian box
Hi folks, I have successfuly migrated a WinNT 4.0 Domain to a Debian server with Samba3+Ldap following the Samba-3 by Example guide from John H. Terpstra (an impressive good guide) and The Linux Samba-OpenLADP Howto from Jerome Tournier & Olivier Lemaire. The domain holds about 800 accounts. There are WinNT servers, WinXP and Win95 clients belonging to it. WinNT servers and WinXP clients

generalized linear model (glm) and "stepAIC"
...wth rates) and two environmental factors that I want to test to find out a possible relation. The sample size is quite small: (7<n<12, depending on each species-case). I performed a Shapiro test (shapiro.test) to test for normal distribution of the responses variables and they were normally distribuited 10 times (over 12 possible, i.e. 12 response variables). I performed a Generalized Linear Model in R-software (MASS package), and I selected models by automatic backward stepwise (stepAIC procedure) considering as the starting model the one with the additive effects of both the factors. This is th...

...rson-Darling (AD) GoF test because it's well known it's more sensible to tail data. Looking at R packages the only AD test is the AD normality test ("ad.test") in the "nortest" package. So I think this function is not for me since long-tailed samples aren't normally distribuited (right?!) I've found the Marsaglia article ("Evaluating the Anderson Darling distribution") where it seems I can consider the ECDF (empirical CDF) and the theoretical as a uniformly [0,1] distributed data and then perform the test like I had to compare two uniform distribution. Big problem with adaptec SATA RAID 1210SA
...sata disk connected to the 1210sa raid controller. i install centos 4 FINAL with "driverdisk" parameter and i choose the 1210sa driver the server think, but even though it's unable to charge... why? as the scsi driver symbios work fine with other disk... Here are some details: - Windows (Win98, Win2k and WinXP) clients use Portuguese-Brazillian (pt-BR) as language. - Linux distribuition: Mandrake 9.0 with the latest updates (from MandrakeSoft) and Portuguese-Brazillian support. - 'chcp' from a command prompt give me:

Interpreting Logistic Regression
Hi ! This is Madhavi from Mumbai, India. Incidently this is my first post. I am working on Credit Scoring Model and using R, I have run the logistic regression. I have received following Output. I have two questions (a) What is the significance of "family = binomial(link = logit)". Why do I have to mention Binomial? Is it because my dependent variable assumes only two values 0 and 1?
