cvs commit: ports/devel/tmake Makefile distinfo
...rt since the checksum was updated or NetBSD and/or OpenBSD distfile caches and sometimes even Linux distfile caches, particularly Gentoo. I use alltheweb.com, filesearching.com, filewatcher.com (which have FTP search engines), Google Groups, and Google to search for the MD5 hashes and the names of distfiles I want to track down. filesearching.com can display file sizes in bytes and filewatcher.com embeds the byte counts in some URLs it generates, making it easy to discern which distfiles are (hopefully) identical. For tmake-1.7.tar.gz, filesearching.com currently reports 30 FTP sites which have copi...

freebsd ports config, cache distfiles
...d packages, a config dialogue comes up (i.e. cd /usr/ports/category/port; make config). How do I automatically configure that, with settings to my choosing? I suppose I could push out the relevant /var/db/ports/port/options file - is that recommended, or is there something better? 2. /usr/ports/distfiles/ doesn''t always have the package files available, especially if the given package isn''t installed on the server. This causes installation to fail. How should I go about instructing the puppet server to cache those files? To do it manually: cd /usr/ports/category/port; make fetc...

Regarding S4 and libnss_winbind.so
Apparently this didn't/doesn't build on FreeBSD by default...or is it "doesn't build at all". If it is buildable, what should I do to build it, as without it...see wiki: http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/Winbind Cheers, TMS III

Full Description: I was doing a reorganization of my filesystems, and since I do offline installs, I keep a local distfiles collection (or did until yesterday when this happened), and in the process, put all of the distfiles on their own filesystem to be mounted under /usr/ports/distfiles. All was fine until I rebooted. On rebooting, I got a page fault panic on mount of the new distfiles filesystem. i booted again...

"No space left on device" at 69%
Hi, there''s no information about reporting bugs in the btrfs wiki, so I try it here. For testing purposes, I have put all my Gentoo portage (build, distfiles, etc.) related LVs into one 10G btrfs with 4 subvolumes. While building OpenOffice yesterday, it failed with a "No space left on device" error, although the LV was only 69% full in total. Details (Builds of Gentoo packages happen in /gentoo/build.): # mount|grep btr /dev/mapper/gond...

rsync 3.0.2 with --fileflags on FreeBSD: cannot rsync hardlinked immutable files
Hi *, it seems rsync with --fileflags isn't able to work on (already) hardlinked and immutable ("schg") files on FreeBSD. The following scripts will create a simple example for this behaviour: -------------------------------------------------------------- #! /bin/sh # # set -x DIR="/var/tmp/rsync_$(date +%s)/" mkdir "${DIR}/" # Preparing dir_A mkdir

Perl master site changed to tobez.org?
..., building perl5.8.7 did seem like it had a lot of problems with the master_sites which is why I went to the freebsd ports cvs tree and looked to see if they fixed it, however, I believe it would be prudent for me to ask: How safe is this your site? And, yes, in some of my build scripts I pull the distfiles from our local system due to some issues with some of the sites, however, how safe is tobez.org from hacking? (ok, so, how safe is OUR site from hacking) or anyone's for that matter, so please don't take this as a challenge. I have enough to do not to have to go rebuilding our servers....

The problem is that with the current version (1.1.0) it is impossible to get the year field to show up in the playlist, even if it's properly set in the file. The diff below fixes the problem.
