Confusion over steps to add new logical volume to guest VM
Greetings - I am hoping someone can confirm for me the steps that I am using to add an LV to an existing Guest in KVM, and what I am seeing as I do some of these steps. My host (earth) is CentOS 6 and so is my guest (disect). The guest (disect) is my testing server. The main objective of what I am trying to do is add a logical volume for /var into my guest. The LV (lv_disectvar) is part

Proper Usage of the XREG in ARIMA
I am using the auto.arima package to do some basic forecasting based on CPU usage. I now have found a calendar that has various activities that partially control the computer's usage and want to factor that in (They are effectively dummy variables indicating a particular type of activity that week). Per the ARIMA instructions I am to feed those in a a vector or matrix. I am getting lost in the

Is qpopper vulnerable?? Re: CERT Advisory CA-97.09 - Vulnerability in IMAP and POP
I''ve got qualcomm''s qpopper2.2, and am not sure if its vulnerable. The advisory mentions pop and imap servers, but only says: version of IMAP (Section B). If your POP server is based on the University of Washington IMAP server code, you should also upgrade to the latest version of IMAP. Until you can take one of these actions, I installed the new imapd about 3

help with legacy R code
Hi there, Could somebody help me disect this legacy R script I inherited at work, I have two questions: 1. I've tried to upgrade our R version from 1.6.2 (yeah, I know), to R 2.0, but some of the lines in this script are not compatible with R 2.0, could someone help me figure out where the problem is? 2. the jpeg generated (attached) seems to be off on some of the data, is there a better way

moving onto returning a data.frame?
I've been studying some of the code and I'm still a little shakey on the proper method for returning a data.frame from a C function (which is my ultimate goal here). I've started some code that I've "stolen" from the archives and I'm running into crashes, etc. I've been trying to gleen some insight from the src/main/scan.c file and didn't find many comments in

CRM integration (was RE: CallerID)
I am also very interested in CRM integration. Anything I can do to help? One thing I don't understand is how is the browser being launched on the person's PC. Or is it not launched automatically? Anyone know of a simple app running on the desktop to do this? I looked into IPSwithcBoard and it appears like it should be able to do the job, but: a) It is pretty heavy - it does a lot of

Getting email from cron when script is run manually
We have some third party software running on a CentOS 4.5 virtual machine. The software is delivered as compiled python and I wrote an init script for it myself (/etc/init.d/gk). Because the software lacks the usual robustness of CentOS services, I have a bash script (/etc/cron.daily/gk-restart) which simply calls "/etc/init.d/gk restart". So, as expected, root gets an email every day

CRM integration (was RE: CallerID)
The method we use for web popups on incoming calls in the astGUIclient client app that we are working on for release next week is to use AJAX(Javascript + XMLHTTPRequest) It works in Firefox and IE5+ and doesn't require any META refreshes. We've been using this internally for the last month and it works great. MATT--- -----Original Message----- From: Anton Krall

CRM integration (was RE: CallerID)
Hello, We use astGUIclient, it does have server side apps that have to be installed on your Asterisk server, but it does have callerID popups that allow you to search a customizable web page when a call comes in. We are also releasing a new version of the astGUIclient app next week that is entirely web-based and easier to configure the client side. http://astguiclient.sf.net/ MATT---

Campfire: Dissection
Campfire REALLY intrigues me... Its simple enough, yet the possibilities are endless once they get the API in place for it. I''m curious though, how are they handling they load with say 50 campfire sessions going and 20+ people in each session. There are a lot of AJAX.Requests going I''m assuming. Seems to me the server *should* be getting bogged down on the constant

I have been reading omindex.cc for a while now and am trying to learn more...

ZFS and powerpath
How much fun can you have with a simple thing like powerpath? Here''s the story: I have a (remote) system with access to a couple of EMC LUNs. Originally, I set it up with mpxio and created a simple zpool containing the two LUNs. It''s now been reconfigured to use powerpath instead of mpxio. My problem is that I can''t import the pool. I get: pool: ###### id:
