Misunderstanding samba [homes]
Samba do the -right- mapping of home-dirs to [homes] share
-without- knowing th name of the users???
I'll try to explain:
I have 2 winxp clients and a debian server with
dpkg -l|grep samba
ii samba 3.0.23c-2
running.
the name of the xp boxes is borg, dir
the users working there are gusi, brigitte
gusi have a passwd (on the xp box), Linux account and samba-passwd - all

ploting a comparison of two scores, including the labels in the plot
Hello r-help!
I have data with two kind of ratings on status of 100 occupations. The
first kind of rating is on the percieved "objective" status that these
occupations have in society at large, and the second kind or rating is
on the status that the respondents think that these occuption *should*
have.
The ratings were originally integer values in the rage 1-9, but in the
current data,

Problems with Com1
Hi There,
i?m trying to controll PTZ-Cams trough Suse Linux 9.3.
i have 2 Cams - a Sony D31 and a Canon VC-C1.
So both where shipped with controlsoftware (Windows). The Software from
Sony had no problem - i can control all i want .. Zoom Pan Tilt .. etc.
Next i tried to connect the Canon Cam .. and after starting the
software, it return a "Error initalizing COM1"

Installation Package "gregmisc" nicht möglich?!?
Hallo zusammen.
Da ich R zur Erstellung meiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeit brauche versuchte ich dies heute zu installieren. Zunächst in der Vrsion 1.9.1 (rw1091.exe). Ich benötige das Package "gregmisc" und installierte dies von CRAN. Bei der Installation tritt folgende Meldung auf:

Hallo Liste,
hat sich schon mal jemand mit 2 Faktor Auth f?r dovecot besch?ftigt? Es
geht dabei nicht nur um die Absicherung einer Weboberfl?che sondern
direkt die Absicherung der Standard pop/imap Verbindungen des Clients.
Wir machen das auth bisher ?ber MySQL.? Rein technisch w?rde das gehen,
da man die Password-Query beliebig anpassen und auch mit allow_nets
arbeiten kann. Es w?re eher die

What does SPEEX_SET_COMPLEXITY do?

Shouldn't the effect of a high complexity increase the sound quality?

Corrupt files after Samba-upgrade
HI,
I have just upgraded my Samba-servers to 2.0.5a. After this upgrade several
users have problems with corrupted files, the files are Word- and
Excel-files. Others experiencing this? I am running on HP-UX 10.2.
